Jets' Favre throws for 2 TDs, beats Dolphins 20-14

Pennington is terrible.
The pass defense is terrible.
The O line is terrible.
The running game is terrible.
The Receiving corps(except Fasano) is terrible.
The Special Teams play is terrible.
The run defense is terrible.
The playcalling was embarrassing.
Oh, and Pennington is terrible, did I mention that yet? I don't care what anyone says, Pennington will never go far into the playoffs. I will go so far as to say he will never see the playoffs again in his career.
Unfortunately, Miami had no choice but to take Pennington for now. We have no on else ready to play. Beck is a total bust, and Henne is still way too green and immature. Pennington has shown himself to be what everyone thought, nothing but a very temporary fix for a very very immature and sloppy Miami Dolphins.

I told you losers you couldn't beat the JETS. I even offered to leave the forum if we lost, but i knew that would never happen. So i'm here until the end of the season. It was competative, but the JETS blew alot of opportunities.
We have much better players at every position and Farve said and was Rusty.
The difference between you losers from last year is you have a winner, a former Jet on your team that gave you a chance. Unfortunately, you have garbage recievers. Your running game that some of yoos bragged about couldn't get it done. You still have two losers that did the same things you did last year, shank punts and kick out of bounds. This only happens with losers. I mean how can a guys who practice kicking all preseason come out and screw up? Also, i'm grateful for the winning touchdown catch..but Farve was hit and ball path was altered and none of your dbs know where the ball is, DUH! That was stupid!AAAAAAAAAGHT! Hey we're back at the JET Pad and we brought some friends and it's party Time Baby!

This is ridiculous. I don't know why quarterbacks burn timeouts rather than take the five yard penalty. Sometimes, it makes sense but to say he is "forced" to burn a timeout is wrong. He is forced to take a five yard penalty or burn a timeout. He chose to burn three timeouts.
Coming from behind, I'm taking the penalty for sure. Maybe in field goal range, I'm inclined to burn one. But, more often than not, I'm taking the 5 yards.

If you notice the protection wasn't right, players were'nt in position. On a cuople of occassions Jets came in untouched and sacked him.
You have to blame the timeouts on players bieng confused, ronnie brown especially. I'd rather have a timeout than a sack or interception.
The recievers blew. Balls were batted away because of no separation something that was mentioned in camp.

Former WI person, have been watching Brett since 92. Packers made HUGE mistake pushing him out...Jets are very lucky to have him. Just watch...the Jets will surprise everyone this year...and did you see? Brady's seriously banged up. Jets may take the division...wouldn't surprise me any. Go Brett! Go Jets!

Alright, I guess I'll just have to realize that fellow Dolfans fail to realize that this team isn't SUPPOSED to be that great this year. People wake up and realize that we were competitive. No matter what any idiotic Jet fan posts on here. This team won one game last year and had a fairly thorough roster overhaul. Look for competitiveness. This is what will tell you how the future looks.

Marion13, I liked your post (and a few others). Yes there ARE some that post on here that know a thing or two. Your point about loosing by 3 in last year's season opener is well-taken. However, that is why I said that in addition to being competitive, we need to look for CONTINUING improvement ALSO. This is what will set us apart from last year's team.

As far as recognizing prevent defense, who said I didn't. I made no mention of that in my earlier post. In fact, I never even got into reasons why the game was lost. Refs were terrible! Not only was there a pass interference call, but on the same drive Favre snapped the ball a full second or more after the play clock expired. I could go on and on. But we were competitive. To me that's what is key today.

i am glad you are holding on to the past...no matter what happens with the jets, new yorkers will always be smelly, greasy, and dirty. They are very uneducated and common.

Like the saying goes guys, stats don't always tell the whole story. Yards and first downs were about even but the game I saw was a game where one team could not run(us), and one team could (them). And yes, I truly expected it to be the other way around. Our offensive line was terrible. We pressured Favre but couldn't cover the receivers. We made all kinds of mistakes (as a new team might be expected to do) and what the heck was with that Hail Mary? Are you telling me that a wounded duck that's up in the air for about a minute can't have at least one defender waiting for it!
You could have went to get a beer and come back to your seat before it came down! Let's not settle for that "It was a good effort" speech because remember there were a bunch of games last year that we lost by 4 points or less. Were we happy with last year? So put that to rest. W's are what counts and nothing else. When we play horse shoes and hand granades then we'll award points for close.
