I agree. This team is too old to trade away rookies. If I were Omar I would try to trade for a corner outfielder and if I can get rid of Schonwies and Heilman for a Fuentes I would do that. Try to avoid prospects unless you have to.

I've been a long suffering Pirates fan for too many years. I wish that there was even some remote hope that Pittsburgh could emulate the Mets success once during the next 10 years. Your team is so close to winning that a relief pitcher of Marte's pedigree or an outfielder that has the tools of a potential all-star could, no doubt, put your team over the top... for AA prospects? Please do not encourage Minaya to make the trade... any trade of these two for prospects could eclipse the worst Pirate deal ever (Aramis Ramirez and Kenny Lofton for nothing)
