Judge it!C'mon Tiger; you know we southerners are all just a bunch of uneducated, inbred, racist, rednecks.I think we all can agree that the biggest issue with judging a school based on Graduation rates is shaded by the number of players who leave early for the pro's...
What I have a problem with is judging a schools success by the percentage of blacks it graduates and then the percentage of the Race gap!!! Like OSU for instance who has 85% whites graduate and 32% of Blacks and they are failing because of the 53% race gap!!! The school should not be judged by it's ability to get a specific race to be successful... It should be judged as a whole!!! and Fella's my wife teaches Highschool and they are judged the same way... They can be (and are) in the top 5 schools in the state, but they are judged solely on how many blacks graduate... they can have 100% of the white students graduate and 90% of the blacks... and the state wants to know why 10% of there black students failed and what they are doing to fix the problem!!!
I though we were all supposed to be color blind... I thought affirmative action was over... What' the deal?

You know what is shocking. I noticed that the 3 and 4 stars perform just as well, if not better than the 5 stars. It is just a matter of how the players adjust to the step up, example - look at Jacob Hester's rating when he first came to LSU, and Craig Steltz, they started out as so called bottom feeders and rose to the top. Joe McKnight was a god at John Curtis High in New Orleans, goes to USC and didnt do shit last season, and Early Doucet had a breakout season his freshman year. I am just happy to see LSU at number 11, but the 5 star rating doesnt bother me to much. |

Great post, freak. How many #1 recruiting classes have gone on to win a NC?? yup, none. I'm not saying a #1 recruiting class isn't a good thing, but it isn't a gurantee by far. Bama is bouncing back, but they are not on the level of AU, UGA, LSU, UF, or Tenn. imo A loss to LA Monroe? Hell, they need the #1 recruiting class. |

Funny thing about that game, it was a 1996 56-49 Georgia win: obviously a HUGE defensive battle!
