As of no in the last 6 years. The big ten and the sec have met in I believe 15 bowls. The big ten has won I believe 8 or 9 of those contests.

SEC vs Big Ten Head-to-Head Football Record

The SEC leads the Big Ten with a 65-46-2 all-time record.

The SEC has a .584 winning percentage versus the Big Ten.
http://www.secsportsfan.com/bigtenseccomp.htm...

Over the past two bowl seasons; the SEC is a cumulative 13-5; the Big Ten 5-10. And, interestingly, the Big Ten is 3-3 vs the SEC and 2-7 versus everyone else! Not sure what to make of that stat.?

In the last 5 or 6 years why does the SEC have a losing record when playing the little ten in bowls? Are you that fucking retarded that you cant answer that exact question.I ask you in the last few years. Think it over junior. In recent history . Not pre WW2 or in the 1960's that is really irrelevant.
Make up your mind; is it going to be the last five years or six now? I answered your question, twice in fact; you either can't read or can't accept the truth. I've provided the data twice, including the source; you either failed to read my comments in their entirety or check the authenticity of the supporting data.

Since 2001 the SEC is 11-9 against the Lil' 10+1 in bowl games (that's six years if you care to do the math):

Georgia (2-0)
- Defeated Purdue 34-27 on 1 Jan 2004
- Defeated Wisconsin 24-21 on 1 Jan 2005

Carolina (1-0)
- Defeated Ohio State 31-28 on 1 Jan 2002

LSU (2-1)
- Defeated Illinois 47-34 on 1 Jan 2002
- Lost to Iowa 25-30 on 1 Jan 2005
- Defeated Ohio State on 7 Jan 2008 (surely you can at least remember this one)

Tennessee (2-1)
- Defeated Michigan 45-17 on 1 Jan 2002
- Lost to Penn State 10-20 on 1 Jan 2007
- Defeated Wisconsin 21-17 on 1 Jan 2008

Auburn (2-1)
- Defeated Penn State 13-9 on 1 Jan 2003
- Defeated Wisconsin 28-14 on 31 Dec 2003
- Lost to Wisconsin 10-24 on 2 Jan 2006

Florida (2-3)
- Lost to Michigan 30-38 on 1 Jan 2003
- Lost to Iowa 17-37 on 1 Jan 2004
- Defeated Iowa 31-24 on 2 Jan 2006
- Defeated Ohio State 41-14 on 8 Jan 2007
- Lost to Michigan 35-41 on 1 Jan 2008

Alabama (0-1)
- Lost Minnesota 16-20 on 31 Dec 2004

Arkansas (0-2)
- Lost to Minnesota 14-29 on 30 Dec 2002
- Lost to Wisconsin 14-17 on 1 Jan 2007

This is “recent history.” I even used your carefully selected range of six years.

Tiger, it's no use; ohionightmare is a lost cause. There's no sense in putting up legitimate stats and the sources from which they came because he won't accept them.

Notice he never cites any sources; he just throws up numbers and expects us all to accept them as gospel.

You believe?!! See, there's your problem (or at least one of them anyway). You "believe" whereas I know; over the past six seasons (2001-2007) SEC teams have played in 20 bowls verses Lil' 10+1 teams and are 11-9. It's not that difficult a stat to investigate: would take you less than five minutes if you had the testicular fortitude to face facts.

SEC over Lil' 10+1 lifetime in bowls: 33-20
http://www.sportslinknetwork.com/cfbtrivia/re...

SEC over Lil' 10+1 lifetime (all games): 65-46-2
http://www.sportslinknetwork.com/cfbtrivia/re...

Define recent bowls any way you want:

Since 2001: 11-9
Since 2002: 8-8
Since 2003: 7-7
Since 2004: 6-5
Since 2005: 5-3
Since 2006: 3-3
Last year: 2-1

Shit that happened 20 years ago has no effect. Games played last year or in 2003 stick in your mind. Do you think my great granpa Irvin who played for the Canto Bulldogs in the 1920's still rest deep on the minds of the Cleveland Browns? No.

Hmmm, let me see... that was the 1999 season. Georgia beat Purdue 28-25 on a neutral field, whereas Ohio State beat Purdue 25-22 in freaking Columbus... and they had to block a field goal to prevent the game from going into OT.

Nice try!

I see you're conveniently leaving out the 2001 and 2007 seasons now to shape the stat you want; and who started talking crap about the Lil' 10+1 record vs. SEC in bowls over the past six years in the first place?

Notice Georgia won both bowls against Lil' 10+1 teams during that time? How about the fact that Georgia has NEVER lost to a Lil' 10+1 team in bowl games: 6-0. What's Ohio State's record vs. the SEC in bowl games again?! 0-9!!!

I'll leave the two-month layoffs to Ohio State; the rest of college football will be playing in their last games of the season and/or conference championships.

You keep talking in circles; no one's brought up 20 year-old games (regular season or otherwise) except to point out overall records between the two conferences. You said...
ohionightmare wrote:

... but then you cite "recent" bowl games played between the SEC and Lil' 10+1 excluding the most recent season - 2007?! Last year SEC teams were 2-1 in bowl games played against Lil' 10+1 teams. The Lil' 10+1 was represented by the same team in the BCS NC game and while they faced a new SEC opponent, the result was the same.

The Lil' 10+1 was 3-5 in bowls this past season, lost both its BCS bowls, went 2-1 against the SEC, and lost the National Championship for the second year in a row to the SEC. What more is there?
