Miguel you arepa eating, Hugo Chavez wanna be, enjoy Detroit! You got fat and lazy here last year and you are not missed one bit, well, maybe the puerco vendors, they are a little lonely. No need to go to games, FSN does a good job and a stadium in the hood will keep all of Palm Beach county fans at home and most of the Broward faithful won't bother either. Thanks Dade county for footing the bill, you got it in the deuce on that deal. No lube to boot! Vote Nader

Also you guys can compare the heat in South Florida all you want. I go to a game every year. Night and DAY I've gone through it and I didn't mind it all to much. It will be great when we get the new stadium but till then if you complain about the heat the tough ****! You are a disgrace if you think that way.

You know what.....I think the Marlins are better off without them. I mean it would have been nice to keep them but we're doing good right now without them. And no the Marlins will not be out at the end of the season. They are going to be contending throughout the season.
5 in a row. GO MARLINS!!

<quoted text> Good for the Marlins for doing so well. But when the franchise keeps shipping off their favorite players...
Its the lack of fan support that ships off players to cities where they are appreciated and supported. Meanwhile the team is doing excellent.

Thank You, Dave Samson for the reply. Atleast we know one thing...you're not too cheap to pay for internet. That is UNLESS ole Jeffy told you to go to the library to post!
SO telling the truth makes me Dave Samson?

I have been a Marlins fan since they started, it was clear from day one they would need their own place to play one day. When Big Wayne sold the team, it made it a requirement to get their own stadium for long term survival.

Wake the hell up, they pitched in more money then most teams would have. They have struggled to keep this team here when they can get the stadium they want without giving up a single penny going to some other city.

Yes they are trying to make money, which is normal for a business owner! If you owned a business you would want to make a profit and do whatever you can to get that done.

Where are all this pigs coming from? We will continue migrating north until we kick you out of Florida completely! Browars is ours, now on to Boca.

See, giving away Cabrera has nothing to do with wins or losses (as we all now know by looking at the standings). The thing Loria will never understand, though, is that giving away Cabrera IS the reason why we are in first place and the stadium is STILL empty.
People want to go to the game to see more than just a winning team. They want a team they - and their kids - have grown up with.
I know the team is playing well. Good for them. And hopefully they will continue to make us proud. But guys like Cantu, although good, don't yet have a connection with me or my kids. So no one in my house is begging me to go and see Cantu.
You don't have this problem in New York or Boston, which is a big reason why their stadiums are always filled. It's because their kids are growing up with Jeter and Ortiz. But Loria will never understand this.
Here's the bottom line - you may have a competitive team when you're constantly filling it with great, youthful talent. But you'll only fill the stands when that talent is around year after year after year - representing YOUR hometown team. And THAT is what you miss out on by giving away Cabrera and all the others that have helped win championships.
Is it possible that you don't want to connect with the talent they have because you are trying to connect with a Latin player. Uggla, Jacobs, Hermedia, Willingham, Ross???? Why don't you try connecting with Hanley? OR Amezega? Or Pinto? Your exuse is lame.
