What happened to the "West Coast Offense". I remember when the Vikes had Robert Smith and ran a ton of screen passes which at one point led the NFL in yardage. If the "West Coast Offense" is not working maybe we should try the "East Coast Offense?".

Hey buddy, expect backlash when you make comments to ruffle feathers. The call at the end of the game obviosuly benefited the Vikes but you are clearly missing the fact that, statistically, the Lions were outlplayed. With that being said, I will once again state that the Lions were lucky to be in position at the end of the game where ONE call would change the outcome.

Earned the right to root against your home team my arse, that's as weak of a woe-is-me comment as I have heard. I know plenty of lifetimers that would never root against the Vikings despite their personal preferences regarding the direction the team is going.

Finally, I am having a hard time understanding where I called you any names in my previous post. Please advise.

What game were you watching yesterday?....had the refs NOT made that phantom pass interference penalty at games end the Queens would have lost, plain and simple...so pay attention pal......Dispicable for rooting for them to lose? I have earned that right for being a fan for 40 years so save your name calling for your wife..........
By the way, I don't know about Burnaby, Canada but where I come from we don't demean our wives by calling them names.

I wouldn't hesitate to give KC TWO number #2 picks for Gonzalez!! They can have Ryan Cook and Tavaris Jackson both are high 2nd rd picks!!!

Shoot, throw in Tapeh, Tahi the invisible blocker, Shiancoe and Wade. Old Carl Peterson would go for that right?

Ha ha power in numbers right?

I think that logic would actually work if you were negotiating with Al Davis, though!

Folks chill out its just football. lol...gosh. There are a lot of things in life that will make you forget about the Vikings record. Just enjoy the sport for what it is and maybe someday we will win the superbowl, but until then don't get so stressed out that you won't be around to witness it. Go Queens.

Gophers greatly impressed me and I must say I am very pleased with the progress they have made. I will be the first to admit I was wrong about my prediction as to how thier season would end up, at least thus far. I am a fan, always have been but am tired of getting beat on by everyone we play in the Big Ten. It appears Brewster has these guys believing in themselves and that is great, a breath of fresh air...
Glad you are keeping tabs on me....
Hey great! I myself admitted that I was wrong about Childress this morning on another post. I have joined the "he must go" crowd on him.

Back to the Gophers, I expected them to win 5 games at best this year, so they have already exceeded my expectations. At this point, I am reluctant to predict any more wins but I believe that they could possibly win any of their remaining games. On the other hand, they are woefully thin though and if they lose Weber or Decker on the offense, Simone (sp) Lawrence, Wille Vande Steeg or the new JC db whose name escapes me, any and all bets are off, they could lose all their remaining games. Next year should be better in that department with some of the freshmen from this year and the incoming freshmen and Jucos and the two transfers becoming eligible. I think a college coach has to be given a bit of time to be fair. I also think that he should show some type of progress each year. Last year was bad, this year is a bit better so far. If he can continue getting Top 25 recruiting classes I believe more progress will be made.

Four Star running back recruit Eric Stephens looks like he's ready to pull his committment for next year and change it to Texas Tech. That would be bad. But don't forget Marquis Gray looks like he'll be coming, along with Spenser Reeves who had SAT/ACT issues.

Yea, bIG jOhN, the whole state envy's WI... you are so smart.. The Packers are sooooo dam good it is not even funny. 3-3 in a 3-way tie for a share of the NFC North the Bears are going to win anyway. The Badgers are soo dam good... wait they got spanked 48-7. The Brewers are so dam good... wait they got beat 1st round of the playoffs... I hate the NBA so who cares about the Bucks... Anything else to envy? I live in WI and envy MN because they actually have a life other than their NFL team over there!!! Schmuck

I like the NBA and the Bucks are crap. But then again, the Timberwolves are...well, the standard for how not to run a NBA Franchise.

Oh yeah, Big John is a little challenged in the vocabulary/comprehension department and your post ran more than one sentence so he might call you sappy and hard to read...just a heads up based on prior experience.

Shoot! Oh well, maybe they will pick up another running back, they could use a bigger, faster one for sure.

Wow...I hope Coach Chilly is watching the Cleveland Brown's game tonight. It shows the difference between winning (what Cleveland is doing) and not losing (which is what the Vikings did yesterday).

Just a thought.

In order to have a remote chance of picking up Tony Gonzalez, that would require Klink to admit that his kick-ass offense is lacking. That will never happen.

Klink's response- "We have Shiancoe... what more do you want?"
