Faneca-less offensive line a Steelers worry

For everything that the Pittsburgh Steelers' offensive line did right a season ago, there now seems to be a major worry in its place.

Ray lewis is a shadow of his former self. Bart Scott is more of a threat to sack the passer.

Amazing all the love for Faneca after his performance last season. His play dropped off considerably, and he was asking far too much money to stay with the Steelers. Also, the Steelers will not miss his prima donna antics such as crying about a new contract or complaining about a rookie QB taking over from Maddox. If the Steelers have proven anything during the free-agency era, it's knowing when to let go of players who were once great, but no longer great. The O-Line will not miss a beat without Faneca.

I completely agree dude. Also watch Kemoeatu punish the opposing D in ways Faneca used to.

Hardy Nickerson had a very good post steelers career but thats going back quite a few years. Plaxico is missed.

News from training camp, is that Kemo is doing exactly that. He's tearing up 1st & 2nd team d-line. In fact, on 7-on-7 drills...he scored the first points for the offense this training camp, by creating a hole and letting Parker squeeze right through.

So far, it looks like Tomlin & Colbert's risk payed off. We'll see.

Correction...not 7on7 drills...its the drills where they go "best out of 7", offense against defense.

In comparison, Kemo looks like he's on top of his game. Look for him to be the replacement everyone hoped he'd be.

Less than 18 hours away from the Eggles. We're so going to kick their asses.

I think Faneca will be an amazing pickup for the Jets. My god, what a line they will have this year! Of course, I only care about the Jets in terms of the damage they can inflict upon the Patriots.

Absolutely, mate. I'd rather be running behind him then having him run at me, that's for sure. He strikes me as the kind of player people simply aren't going to want to line up against. I like the idea of an offensive lineman with a little Greg Lloyd in his personality.

Well...he did well tonight. 16-10 us. Against a VERY good Eagles team. I'm excited to see them in week 3 when we play them again...with starters. They were unable to get into the endzone against our starting D. They had 1 field goal. After we pull the starters out, they were able to get a TD with their 2nd team QB.

Kemo sure opened some holes for Parker and Mendenhall. I see that he's the real deal. Whether he can back it up all season is completely up to him.

If you are excited about a preseason football game, then you really don't know much about football. The scores mean nothing. Just stay healthy.

And if you say LZ doesn't know football, then you don't know LZ, mate. We ALL get excited about preseason football around here because we are serious fans and at least it's some kind of football. Also, the chaps who actually live in Pittsburgh get excited, I believe, because they no longer have to watch the Pirates.

...LZ may know football, but the Patriots know they will own the AFC yet again so it doesn't really matter...

...By the way, did some research Clan Mendenhall...are you really from the UK or visiting? Visiting as in a member of the US Air Force stationed at either RAF Lakenheath, Mildenhall, or even RAF Feltwell. It seems we may have another D.I.D. member other than my self. Beware of posers my retarded Steelers fans...

It's not my business if you're diddling your member, mate. I gave my life story on a different thread, but if you want to think of me as a dashing pilot while you're diddling that member, I'm afraid I can't stop you.

Brady 2 Moss is none other than skidrow wilson; a creepy patriots fan. Skidmark (as he is referred to), like a dog begging for scraps, snivels around on the Steelers forum hoping someone will talk to him. When he behaves we throw him a few bones. When he gets creepy we ignore him.

Cheers, Rex! He did seem a bit bizarre, but I sort of expect that of a New ENGLAND fan.
