Reopening Old Field School is about reversing one of the many horrible decisions made by Durrell and her camp when she was trying to keep local taxes low while pushing her liberal agenda at the same time -- thereby passing the cost off to the current resident taxpayers of of Fairfield. First things first -- the grammar school kids need to be schooled in buildings not trailers.

Anybody that doubts that Durrell is out of touch with the current residents should look at the candidate she backed for First Selectman last time around - nice guy, but he had never even voted in a Fairfield municipal election......

I don't really think this is the place to not let bygones be bygones...I live across the street from Turner, and both ideas--ice rink and swimming pool--are terrible! It's a dangerous and busy intersection, and that's only going to be exacerbated. I LOVE the Senior Center/Pilot House idea, reopening Oldfield, etc. But Dougiello and Flatto are utterly against it, so don't count on it happening. It's a shame that we always have to build on open land, can't allow it to go back to nature. Welcome to the City of Fairfield!!!

Screw the Pilot House; let that private entity find it's own space; this town has no business deciding what charities the taxpayer will fund - it can hire them at market rates to provide services but that's it. And don't give up the fight on getting the senior center moved that Queen Jacky Fairfield put at Old Field to get votes while later her legacy on the Police Commission began the transformation of Fairfield - ever hear of Durrell Knight Richard Osborn of the ZBA??-- King Flatto and Princess Dougiello hasn't heard the end of this!

BTW, Why is Kiley not recusing himself from this since he is on the Advisory Board for the Pilot House? It ain't all about Flatto when it comes to conflict of interests in town!

A city pool would be great the last two summers are really too hot. Put of the AC.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Leo

You're in a very idealistic mood today, making it almost impossible for you to view loved ones in their true colors. If they've got any faults you won't see them because you'll have blanked them out. This rosy vision of your nearest and dearest is fine if it doesn't last long but it will cause problems if it persists and you continue to brush any problems under the carpet.
