<quoted text>isnt BS a FA at the end of the season? You mean a trade NOW?? This isn't MLB dude. NO major deals during the season and very few player for player trades in the offseaon. All usually are for draft picks. No way is Philly gonna give up a draft pick for a guy that can walk at the end of the season. When is the trading deadline? When is Sheppard's contract up?
With that said, I agree, "if" it could be pulled off, I'd take it.
Sheppard is signed through 2011 with some high cap numbers. I'd take him for a 2nd rounder though if we can swing it.

BTW, I'd like to hear from Rex Ryan why he didn't adjust when the Colts lined Wayne up in the slot against Ivy. Football is a chess game and Indy was a step ahead of us all game. When they see Wayne lining up in the slot can't they change coverage? I guess it wouldn't matter though because if McCallister couldn't cover Harrison no way he can cover Wayne.

McCalister is probably the least disciplined defensive back I've ever seen. He's either pulling a knuckleheaded personal foul deep in a game to allow the opponents to continue a game-winning drive, or he's biting on play action while his receiver blows by him. I said this last week, but Figurs is scared. What the hell is up with Heap? Again I ask: Is Mason the only receiver that can run a route and create separation between himself and the defensive player? McGahee is not the starting back. He has absolutely no speed or power. Flacco should learn to stay on his feet. If you watch the tape, pretty much every interception he has thrown has been when he has jumped during his throw. Hey Joe, you're not a world-class athlete, but you're playing against some. You're not playing Towson University.

most of the comments I have read show me that most of you "fans" havent a clue about the Ravens or about football in general. One bad game and you abandon ship like a bunch of rats. The biggest problem we have on offense is Flacco. yeah, yeah I know-he's a rookie. that doesnt alter the fact he cant find receivers and when he does have a guy open deep, throws too late. Peyton did the same thing his rookie year so maybe he'll be OK. Defensively -Injuries to the secondary [same old song and dance] but they played tough in the other 4 games. So you need to get off their b**ts and just hold on. It could be a bumpy ride

Preton's last paragraph says it all. Harbaugh doesn't have his team ready to play. He thinks that being a caricature of a Marine drill sergeant is how to run a professional football team. Problem is, that the people under his command are seasoned professionals, and not 18 year old kids. I am no psychologist, but his entire team looks like they hate -- absolutely hate -- playing for the guy. When you break the spirit of a team like that, you end up getting humiliated by, of all teams, the Indianapolis Colts (wearing what still are the best uniforms in football). Harbaugh needs to go.
Yeah, Preston will say this about every damm coach we hire when it all falls to pieces. Big friggin' surprise! He won't same one word about the man responsible for acquiring all these bums! Beep, beep, here's comes the bus Preston! You've been exposed! Stop protecting Ozzie and call him out! We demand objective critcism! This incompetent GM hasn't drafted one halfway decent receiver in over 10 years! The problems start and end with him! Fire him before he digs us in deeper!

Beep Beep. Mike Preston for playing the blame game for a loss that was the fault of the entire team, not just Flacco, McCalister or the O-Line.
Beep Beep Mike Preston...how about the two running back fumbles...how about Figures never making it to the 20 yard line...oh wait...Beep Beep, Mike Preston loves to pick on certain parts of the team to further his own agenda. This was a team loss so stop pointing fingers.
How about pointing the finger at the GM? He either drafted (4 safeties), traded away the farm for (McGlazee), or signed (Walker) these disgraces! Time for a friggin' change! GM's should have term limits like Presidents, that way we wouldn't have to deal with this fool any longer! GO back to Cleveland and run their team into the ground!

Hey Mike, you should write a public apology to Billick.

People with half a brain knew that a new scheme would not mask the lack of offensive talent on this team.

All the morons who cheered and thought canning Billick was the magic pill need to come back to reality.

I bet he's sitting back cashin in that 18 million and having a good laugh. Meanwhile, the offense continues to suck because our GM cannot pick offensive skill talent to save his life.

That's not even mentioning the insane contracts he gives out because he's never proactive in signing his own. How come Jason Brown still isn't signed long term? Does Ozzie think he's gonna be cheaper 4 months from now?

Brown's just the next in line to receive a gigantic signing bonus that could've been much smaller if Ozzie would be proactive. But he'll just "let the market set itself" like he always does. I cannot believe people are still buyin that BS.

Don't you see the method to Preston's madness? He's a hack, but he's not an idiot! He's laying the groundwork for another one of his agendas. The sad thing is many Ravens' fans will buy into it all over again. He's blaming Harbaugh now so when it all falls apart later in the year he will have established a fall guy; and he'll point it out for us! All the while, the man mostly responsible for the sad state of Ravens, Ozzie Newsome, is being concealed, yet again! He protected this fool during Billick's tenure and he's already started during the Harbaugh era. Ozzie is either paying him off, or it is the result of a black media bias. There is just no other earthly, logical reason this man escapes even the slightest bit of criticism time after time. Oz can't keep living off the drafts of the late 90's. Take a look at the last 5 plus years; the moves have been deplorable. Even if you are an Oz guy, you have to acknowledge his VAST shortcomings this decade.
DON'T FALL FOR IT RAVENS FANS! IF YOU WANT REAL CHANGE DEMEND OZZIE NEWSOME'S DEPARTURE!

Yes it's that time of the year Ravens fans, what time is that you ask? Well time to look ahead to the draft, so who you guys like this year? A long snapper? A small banged up under-sized mental defective pass rusher? A fast rising combine workout stud who could not play a lick in college? these are the tough decisions the Wiz Oz is mulling over right now. With all the draft picks for the past 2 years going to special teams we should be dominate in that facet.

Billick was not the problem, Boller was not the Problem, Flacco is not the problem, Harbaugh is not the problem, its lack of offensive talent, esp at the WR position and it has been for the last 7 yrs and there is one person whose problem it has been to fix that problem and that IS OZZIE. He is not a genius GM if he was then Pitts wouldn't cont to dominate this div virtually every yr. Just like in pre it doesn't matter if its Boller or Smith or Flacco, if your Ol can't protect your Qb and he has nobody to throw the ball to its hard to score pts.

Tell the truth and shame the devil Mike........Mcalister and Rolle ...Done oudated to old....forget about who they were ....and interceptions on route jumps are nice but not all quarterbacks are that obvious.Flacco.. Primitive.... tunnel vision....no instinct... telegraphing enough to allow a player to come off the bench and get an interception.......Harbaugh... conceptual.....very green.Lewis and the front seven..... tired ,frustrated, underappreciated and out of gas mentally and emotionally after being sabatoged again this year.....year after year after year they are defeated by their own offense... not other teams.

You're probably right. The odds are stacked against us. It needs to get out there though. Really, it's just a matter of time until he gets fired. Biscotti will figure out sooner or later. We just need to make sure it is sooner rather than later.
