You are all missing the point. This has nothing to do with the wetlands they are building on. It's all about how much money they can extract from the Clinic now that they have plans to build. This will amount to a dollar figure and some mitigation of a nearby creek. It is nothing more than extortion. Consider it a cost of doing business. The wetlands is just a cover for getting the payoff.

democrat Ted Strickland, democrat Tim Ryan, democrat Tom Sawyer are the problems in the area, its time for Summit, Portage, Cuyahoga and Mahoning county to wake up and look at these goofballs that are ruining Northeast Ohio. Why are counties such as Medina doing just fine because they have good Republicans running the county. Its time to wake up these democrats like to keep things depressed so they can Yack about bringing all those UNION and manufacturing jobs back such as Mr. Blow Heart Sherrod Brown. Get that hospital in Twinsburgh, it is a great city run by Republicans and you can tell it, just like Green and and up and coming cities not depressing like Barberton and of course crimed filled Akron

It Figures... my much awaited Clinic outlet defeated by the three-toed, five-eyed salamander. Was so looking forward to not having to go to Cleveland, Solon, Seven Hills and Beachwood for annual medical exams. Robinson just built a facility in the Aurora swamp without issue. In fact that entire section of Rt. 82 extending into Twinsburg Twp. is wetland but all sorts of condos sprung up there. And don't forget the damage to the blue heron nest sites from Ethan's Green. Put the building on piers and stilts..make everyone happy.

Twinsburg is hardly run by Republicans. Look at the Mayor. Prokop is bleeding heart liberal who loves to spend money and raise taxes. Some people don't seem to care one way or the other about our fellow being at all. If figures! Also, some have pointed to vacant building all over the area(s). It sounds like its more plausable than developing a natural habitat. Gee, do we really need all that new concrete? And, Yes, its just another "white flight" proposal from the cities into the rural/suburban areas. One would think, with the price of fuel and heating going up and up, I'm suprised that people wouldn't rethink their outdated ideas of living in a suburb anyway. I mean, I'm sure, if you really looked around, anyone could find tracks of land that can be redone and redeveloped. Most of these new developments seem to sit vacant for a long time and when a renter rents a spot, they go bust once they find out how much the rent is contantly being upped. This creates more vacant building. The old strip malls, shopping centers, malls that mostly are vacant should be redeveloped, not new land. Also, what is nice about this idea is that all of your services are already in.

What northern Summit needs is a full service hospital. It takes too long to get to either Cleveland or Akron in an emergency.

So you are ok with eating dogs and cats and hamsters and rats and stuff? Animals aren't mobile food. They're living beings that have been here longer than humankind has. But that's an arguement for a different topic. I say the hospital should buy out the Chrysler building on 82, since it will probably close anyway due to the crappy economy.

Mack the Knife wrote: <quoted text> BECAUSE WE CAN'T EAT THEM!!!!! I don't eat steak, turkey, chicken, pork because there are too many turkeys, chickens, pigs or too much cattle! The point about taking ducks to the Haven of Rest for food was obviously in jest (at least to anyone with a sense of humor). From the article, it appears there are other wetlands which won't be affected, and this particular wetland area would appear to be as little affected as the builders can possibly manage. The points about traffic, and additional businesses being established are good, and one would expect this has already been studied. That issue is up to the local residents and government to resolve. But again FROM THE STORY it sounds like the wetland issue is relatively minor--let's hope so, anyway. maybe there are too many because you aren't eating your share?

Actually animals only exist on this planet to feed me and other meat eaters. Keep in mind if an animal could kill you he certainly would. Let's get them before they get us.

This project, the soccer stadium that would have destroyed even more wetlands and the Seasons Road project all need to be scratched completely. Tell me why we have to keep spreading out when our overall population is dwindling? Oh that's right, rich caucasians can't live near anything remotely middle class. glad to see your biggotry come out. but if you fill them in they won't have this problem! understand me, racist?

Moron. Oh... and animal overpopulation isn't occuring because "we aren't eating our share," it's occuring because of human overpopulation. Why are there too many people? I blame the crackhead mothers out there who have more and more kids to collect more and more from welfare, and the oversexed deadbeat dads who don't pay their share so the women they knock up have no other option to do otherwise besides prostitution. If people would keep their legs together we wouldn't have to destroy nature for housing, schools, and employment. I'm all for progress, but for the love of Pete, the natural environment shouldn't have to suffer to do so.

We don't need more medically-related jobs - we can't fill the one's that are open now. This region needs to diversify its business base. The only game in town will be medical, medical, medical. Remember...we don't make tires here any longer.

I live in Twinsburg and had to take a loved one to the hospital for an emergency not long ago. Where do you go?? Bedford?? No way - I want my loved ones to have a chance. We went to Hillcrest - which is quite a long way from here. I understand about the wetlands - but the fact that so little of that property is affected by the wetlands is rather disturbing. I think I am leaning towards the emergency treatment close by for my family over the ducks. Sorry - but logically and morally - I just can't see what the big deal is over such a small portion of the property being affected....
