You're scaring me, Mikey. Every time i make a good point in a comment, i read it in your next article.

The Ravens can't let him go. When his playing days are over, many years from now I hope, he will continue to get the most and the best out of the defense and the offense as an assistant coach. I think Ray's love for and knowledge of the game is something the Ravens can't afford to loose

yes, sign him, he deserves to retire a raven. Also sign Suggs long term, get a big time receiver and boom, we are super bowl bound!

Nbr 52 is a complete joy to watch. Like most, I played pickup football but very little in organizaed leagues.
Ray Lewis plays in such a way that ANYONE can say that we are watching a once-in-a-lifetime player. |

Watching Ray Lewis play football is like watching Tiger Woods play golf.
Not the biggest, not the fastest, but surely the one we EXPECT to make the plays! And he usually does! |
as much as i hate the baltimore browns right now ray ray is playing like the best linebacker in the nfl.

LT or #52?
i go w/#52 if nothing else because of the intangibles. |

Ravens Brass, you listening?
I beseech you.....PLEASE!! Sign Ray quick-fast. Don't make any bonehead moves. This man is the face of our defense. Work something out, but just get it done. He deserves to be a Raven for life. I can't imagine him on another team, which is EXACTLY what will happen if he's not signed. Please!!! |

I really hope they get a deal done to keep Ray a Raven until he retires. I will be sick to my stomach to see Ray on another team. Even more so if he goes to another team who only need veteran leadership to go to the Superbowl. Imagine, Rays name being etched into history forever by helping another team win the Superbowl. I would be truly disgusted.

Pay him!! Best player Baltimore has ever seen.

I expect this game to be the coming out party for Flacco. What better way to have a breakout game as the new Ravens QB against the team that has caused this city so much pain over the last 12 or 13 years. The QB jinx (you know, dumping the Superbowl winning QB) will be over after Sunday. Lets go Ravens

Ray is to football what that bicycling guy is to bike racing. 13 years in professional football and most people would contemplating retirement whereas Ray is still hungry for another Super Bowl. Thank God he is on my favorite team - Ravens. Ray you are wonderful and I hope you never leave Baltimore. I hope they find front office space when the time does come.

Interesting that you don't have any quotes from Lewis in this article. I assume that like many others on the team he has no respect for you and simply won't talk with you.

Interesting timing of this article. In their most recent game, the Ravens defense let Kerry Collins march 80 yards for the game-winning TD, which was scored by the guy that Lewis was supposed to be covering. Ray Ray is great, but how about a little critical analysis from the lead football columnist? Big Mike was never afraid to criticize before; now that Billick is gone, guess everything is rosey in his eyes.

I realize that you are a Steeler fan and everything, but just so you know; their name is the Baltimore Ravens. Didn't want you to be confused. Enjoy Cumberland.....boy what a city eh??? |
Can you say "contract year" those are the words for the day in Mr. Ray's neighborhood.......
Hands down Ray Lewis is the best middle linebacker of all time in my opinion, i would say linebacker but Lawrence Taylor was that. The Ravens wouldn't be the same Franchise without him, so you know what that means Steve Bisciotti time to give that man a contract and make sure he retires a Raven. I'm a NY Gaints fan for life, but being in Baltimore its a joy to watch #52 crushing people on Sunday afternoons

How much of this renewed "passion" is only because of his upcoming new contract talks? will the old, sulking Ray Ray return next year?
Sign Ray - he deserves it. I totally love watching him at the stadium every home game - the crowd is rabid when he makes a play and the place is electric! Sign Ray-Ray!!
