like i said, typical excuses that were predetermined by everyone in the SEC when OSU got destroyed, let me guess, the loss against Florida was because of the same reason to. Like I told you in the previous post, if OSU wants a game in their state, then find somewhere good enough to play other teams. And i didnt hear any complaining from OSU about playing in New Orleans, and as per the previous post, according to you and all your other buddies, OSU doesnt need homefield, cause they are so dominant.......sarcasm........ ..
Would you say the same thing if both OSU's bowls where played in the dead of winter in Cinnici when its -10 outside and OSU won both. Or almost every bowl win Ohio State has played was played in Ohio like LSU with the cotton bowl and both their titles since the begining of the BCS LSU has not played a bca bowl outside of New Orleans. 01-02 season they played a big ten team at home with illini (who sucked)03-04 they played there again with Oklahoma. 06 -07 they played notre dame in again the sugar bowl and won. and in 07-08 they played osu in the sugar bowl again and won. In 2003 Texas beats you in the Cotton bowl away from the super dome.Iowa beats you in the capital one bowl in 2005 away from New Orleans. Are you seeing a trend here. I sure do. You are just to big of pussies to say home field advantage has allot to do with it.
All you guys can say is "get over it" "so what" "OSU lost" I have made these points so clear and out in the open . Silverdawg refused to comment on the fact that nba teams 21-1 at home. He avoided it like the little DC coward he is. He ignored it because he knows its true. Home field is huge and that has allot to do with the recent success of LSU in bowls. You take the superdome away in the bcs era they lose.

You're wasting your breath a lot of SEC fans have a superiority complex have you ever noticed that when they talk about our record against sec they only show the bowl record. And then when you say no we're 7-11-2 they refute those games stating "they weren't in the sec at that time." However Penn St losses and wins count for the big ten now so it works both ways.

It's a matter of personal preference. I don't see how Penn State's losses and wins prior to joining the Big Ten can really be attributed to "The Big Ten". What did they have to do with the Big Ten prior to joining? Nothing at all.

People that discount games that teams played when they weren't a member of the SEC have a point, if you're truely attributing things to a "conference". However, it's also valid to view games all-time games against teams in a conference particularly if they've been in the conference all-time. You will note that people will discredit wins against Vanderbilt and Kentucky in those days as being somehow played against cupcakes, even though both of those teams (Vandy in particular) were quite good back then. Looking at records in any sort is worthless unless you truly view the team played and not just the name.

For whatever it's worth, the SEC has Ohio State's number. At the same time, Ohio State has the Big 12's number. Also, Nebraska has the SEC's number (as well as Michigan). All it means is that these things happen and we shouldn't put too much stock in any one statistic or the other.

You missed his point. Don't put words in his mouth. And why everyone hating on OSU, wait that was a dumb question. And to the person who said that OSU has the advantage of playing up north bc of the Sports media or whatever you were saying is bogus. How can it benefit OSU playing up North. Its May and the whether is still in the 60s. So you can imgaine how its is up here during the winter months. Down South, its always green and fertile and the the football soil is perfect to run up and down on. You guys can practice outdoors. And try having a bowl game here in January. The excuse is "Why travell up and play in cold weather while you can play comfortably in the South." If a conference is so good they'll play in the Tundra if they have to. That heat must make you guys lazy...LOL!!! I don't want to take any credit away from LSU and they should be proud they have won two BCS titles since the BCS has been formed. But they won in their own backyard. Whatever though, thats the way it is. And Florida kicked our cans but that don't mean OSU can't beat them. Yea, OSU is 0-9 against the SEC, but try looking outside the box. And stop relating OSU to the Buffalo Bills. One of these days Buffalo is gonna go on a winning SB spree.

I apologize Dawg. I just get so upset if people say Northerers have no education and stuff like that. I know thats not what you meant though. And I don't condone others saying Southern people are lacking to. Well anyway, I can't wait for the Buckeyes to kick sum Bulldog @$$...LOL!!! alright smart guy, bring up LSU's bowl losses away from home, but look at LSU's wins away from home, more than in the great state of Louisiana, you are not pointing out anything to support the gay point your trying to make, hmmmm, lets see, 40-3 against Miami in the Peach Bowl, GA tech in the Peach bowl- home field for Tech, hmmm we won that one also, i can keep going, wins against Texas in Texas, Colorado away from home, i can keep going and going, so i will end your gay point by saying "Look where the crystal football is right now, and look where it hasnt been the past two years for OSU!" GEAUX TIGERS, OSU sucks. You might want to take courses in school about football, cause you suck.

not really beavis, you forget that when OSU faces any SEC team, in bowls or regular season, they get owned, OWNED. OSU cannot handle the speed and execution of any SEC team, OSU does not see that kind of play in the weak conference they are in. Even a former SEC coach that is coaching Illinois beat OSU this year, yeah yaw got ZOOKED from another former Florida coach, now put that in your pipe and smoke it.....LMAO!

I know . I saw how fast Michigan's recivers are . They made Florida's defensive back field look slow. Florida had one quick guy and he was caught from behind by Morgan Trent who beat Ginn Jr in national high school boys track. And another thing. I thought all the db's from LSU were -4.4 guys. How do you let a 243 lb running back smoke your all american safety. Here is your so called speed thought.

So you are saying you only won a single game since the bcs started and that was to VT. Good Job. Let me go root you up a vanilla waffer. You guys can only win at home in this new era of college football. You are givin all the advantages for success. You don't know what adversities are.

This post is BS...OSU has played in three title games in 6 years. What other college football team can match that this decade? Only one and it is USC and THEY DO NOT PLAY IN SEC.

OSU has a very good football program. Their curent coach HAS HELD THE CRYSTAL NC TROPHY OVER HIS HEAD BEFORE AND HE WILL DO IT AGAIN, MARK MY WORDS!

One thing can be made is that northern teams are stronger in the weight room. In 06 pro day Brady Quinn a quaterback from Columbus Ohio put up 29 bench reps of 225. On Glenn Dorsey's pro day he could only muster 28. Mike Kulda at 250 lbs (with a max out well over 600 pounds) of Ohio State has the record at 48 reps. Last year the two tops where Vernon Gholston and Jake Long ( both big ten players. So everytime a the big ten beats the SEC you could say they are not as strong as the big ten teams. That is why the big ten usually owns the top 25 in ncaa wrestling. I know this is not accurate. But this is how you sound talking about your speed. Its nothing different. The game slows down in late October and November when everything is dead and freezing. But you would not know that.

wow, you get the article from a newspaper, ohhhhh, and Trindon Holiday, Keiland Williams and Jacob Hester made you defense look like they were standing still, and stronger, i dont think so, Glen Dorsey threw up 28 reps, big deal, he made OSU's O line look like freshman in high school, why, because he beat them off the line with STRENGTH AND SPEED, did you even watch the title game, yeah wells got us on one play, ONE play, but we took him out of the picture real quick, and how many times did OSU's QB get sacked, hmmm, i wonder why again, SPEED from the d backs and lineman, and another thing, yeah Michigan did beat Florida this past year, but once again, Florida made OSU look like a junior varsity team from Idaho. To put the icing on the cake, Tressal has held the crystal ball up ONCE, and since then, he only held it up for photo shoots IF they would have won the title, going to the title game 2 years in a row and losing is not a good thing, lets not brag about that.........OSU sucks.

fastest man in college football is running in the Olympics this year, and where is he from....thats right LSU. Trindon Holiday will miss the first 3 football games due to competition in the Olympics........dont give me the speed crap from the lil 10, oh and 3 other SEC football players are running in the Olympics also, tell me, how many titles does OSU have in track and field, thats right, speed comes from kids who leave the south to go play up north, yaw dont grow them right up there.

i know we have had this discussion before, and i will pull up the facts again.

I agree. It's amazing that Booty, USC's heralded quarterback, came from where???? Shreveport, LA. Imagine that. Where do the majority of big northern school's get their stars???? Right here in the south. Just look at the roster. The SEC teams have more players on their rosters from the SAME STATE than any other conference in the country. And even without recruiting nationwide, they are still killing everyone else. Ohio State WILL have a good team next year, as long as they don't have to play the SEC.
