Kudos to that boy. True willpower and determination. His mother washed the jersey every other day, and he's just kid. How many of you played outside and wore dirty clothes for a day? If you didn't, then I feel sorry for your childhood. What if it was a little 8 year old girl who wanted to be a princess and chose to wear the same tiara for four years? Brett Favre, one of the best quarterbacks who loved the game of football with his whole heart. Played the game because he wanted to, not so much because he was paid to. I couldn't think of a better way to honor a great person, athlete, tons of class, and maybe, just maybe, a personal hero to a pre-adolescent.

Ps. I'm a girl and a die-hard Raiders fan, ..but I know true football ...I love die hard fans regardless, through thick and thin.

Now if we can just get John Madden to pull his head out of Favre's behind, then we will be making progress. By the way, ask Madden what Favre has been eating for the last fifteen years.

K, I'm glad the kid at least took it off and had it cleaned. I was worried that I'd read that he wore it continuously for four years.(Now -that- would be gross.)

To have it washed regularly makes it less a hygiene issue for me. I'm sure it saved the parents on buying new clothes for the kid.

Frankly I was relieved to read that Mom was washing it, because at first I had this vision of him wearing it for 4 years non-stop. And THAT was a disturbing image ...
