packers have taken a huge step back this is something not going to be cured this season .rodgers still has his problems weak arm not reading defenses well and slow to make decisions.but our O line is falling apart too u would think after last yr their would be improvemnet ...no. and our defense is not as strong as last yr lot injuries. McCarthy is going find out how hard to have a rookie QB. this team is basicaly starting over.6-10 a real possiblty.

First of all its one PRE-season game..its not the end of the world. Second McCarthy even said we have a lot of minor injuries and most if not all of the players injured will play by Week 1. Third - Our defense will better then lsat year with more experience and we are even aiming to be the No 1 defense.(not sure about that but def top 5) Fourth - Rodgers couldn't do anything that game ebcasue of oiur O-line so dont fault him or say he has a weak arm or is innaccurate or whatever,,give the guy a CHANCE. And Last..I agree with you on the O-line. They should be better then last year but they played horrible vs SF. Its only a preseason game and Im pretty confident our O-line will be better this year then last

The reason the offensive line gave up so few sacks last year is now playing in NY, Brett might not have been as fleet of foot the last few years, but I'd put him up against anybody in a backpedaling contest. Brett was uncanny when it came to avoiding the rush, but it came with years of experience, experience now used for the Jets. Rodgers might be faster, but he will never be as elusive as Brett. Defense in the top 5? Did you forget you have Harris at one corner and you traded away your best interior lineman? The superstars on gb are entering their swan song years, with the leader getting the boot right in the arse. Harris, Driver, and even Woodson are nearing the end of their careers, so no, GB could actually take a dive on the defensive side of the ball, but probably not as big of a drop as the offense. Did Mike McCarthy burp you this morning?

It was a mix of Brett and good pass protection in previous years. There wasn't either against the 49ers. The O-line had a horrible game but it was McCarthy's decision to keep the ball in Rodgers hands too. He's just not ready. Who knows if he'll ever be? Keep in mind, it took Brett two years to learn how to throw it out of bounds when he got outside the pocket. As for it being a pre-season game, it does matter. Woodson was the only one who did anything. The two rookie QBs won't be much help this season. TT might be looking for a veteran QB any second. Meanwhile, check out this painting of BF in green and gold. http://rickrushart.com/index.php...

Anyways you CANNOT blame all the sacks on Rodegers..there was 1 sack where he shouldve thrown it away but all the otehrs within less then a second he had people running at him. They actually showed it on espn and they had a timer and he had no more then I think 2.5 seconds for almost the whole game. And defense old..you kidding? You forget about Hawk, Barnett, Kammpman, KGB, Bigby,..and Woodson is still playing great at his age and he has a while left. Unfortunately Harris is probably o nthe decline so thats why we have Pat Lee to step in a year or 2. And Corey Williams wasnt even that good. He got a few sacks but wasnt good against the run. WE have great depth at our d-line so thats not a problem.

Heck, I feel that I've been rather lenient to the clueless hacker fans, but as long as you want to travel this road, you better buckle up. The bare truth is that TT/MM didn't want to be burdened with all the hype surrounding Favre, and TT wants his project(Rodgers) to start his streak of 2 games without an injury. Grant had to beg and grovel for a raise, sitting on the sidelines drinking free Gatorade. TT ALWAYS trades down, never up, so you get what you pay for. A lot of players with questionable skills that cannot compete with the blue chippers. You will find this out early and often this year, and I'll bet you don't even come back to thank me for pointing it out to you.

Great talking to you too Eric.
And for 40for60 trading down isnt always bad. We found a lot of good late round picks. And what does that have to do with anything? Honestly you think you have TT all figured out but you dont. Look at what he has done in the past..or are you going to deny that too?
And dont bring up that we couldve had moss crap either..we have great wrs and did fine without him

I have TT figured out, he is as cheap as they come. I know that, you should know that, and the rest of the league knows that as well, remember Jason Taylor? He blamed it on a small market, when in fact it was the small mind of TT that kept him away.

40, the clock is ticking for opening night!
stone crushing or not,Jason Taylor didnt come here because of the small market, and TT was exec. of the year,so hes not that bad! anyway..... Huge division battle,Huge rivalry battle,,first game of the season and want to get off to a quick start battle, lots riding on this first game isnt it? Health will be a factor as we all know,so may both teams be healthy and ready to go and we can see hows best on that particular night, and who gets the early upper hand in hte div.
and i still say Chicago will be better than last year maybe a 500 team, and Detriot will let the div know they are still here and will suprise either team,if they arent ready to take Detriot seriously!

A step back for Rodgers? He has a weak arm? Fella I don't think you have been keep up with the training camp reports, because Aaron has been hitting the target from 45 yards out each of the past few days. Driver wants him to throw softer....this from a guy who caught Favre passes for years.
As for the team, my biggest concern is center with Wells out again. But Mike will come up with something, count on it.

Driver want AR to throw softer as in put some air under the ball.He does have an arm, but, he needs touch on long passes,as proved by his throw to R. Martin alittle air meant a huge gain.

Hi Eric, What are you doing for the game? Health, very important, and we already have a few out for the season. Farwell, Mitchell head that list, at least we haven't lost any starters yet. Tarvaris made a bad decision to play running back from the QB position, so he hasn't gone more than a few games between injuries. Brett won't get any competition from Tarvaris or Aaron for consecutive game streak. I don't see Chicago making any waves, they weakened their receiving corp like their QB couldn’t use a little help. Detroit still has a potent passing offense, but no running game to speak of. I would be surprised if either of them go above 500. Allen looks like the real deal, but now Berrian is suffering from turf toe, just like last year. Madeau Williams, suffering from pinched nerves, just like last year. That doesn't bode well for a couple high priced FA. The first game could be a barn burner, but with all the additional hype coming into that Monday night, the game would really have to be great to match it.

Hi 40
How have you been? I will be on the couch watching the game with a big bottle of cold water!!( im a party animal hah?)
Well health wise,,Greg Jennings hasnt played yet with a hammy,he missed the first few games last year, with a hammy and now he missed the first few games with a hammy, but,he should play this week. Driver has been dropping passes this offseason, but,he should be fine. Ryan Grant hasnt played yet this year, and may miss this one coming up,but at least they will let him get into shape so he wont get hurt, although he needs to get into shape before running into the Minn. defenseive wall... Scott Wells injured chest,,Chad Clifton is sore so they are tring multiple players at LT to give Clifton a rest. Ryan Pickett,Jonny Jolly are both banged up but will be fine..AJ Hawk hurt his chest,so well see there Remember Justin Harrell? well hes played a few qts. last year and hes banged up again,so id cut him,but thats me i guess. I saw Tarvaris's run where he got hurt, and he did get lucky,it wasnt as bad as it could have been.Barian with turf toe,,which is why I hate that artificial turf, but, Minn will have an outside stadium with grass, like the old Metropolitan stadium and Bud Grant,so it better for them i think ( play in the cold but grass instead of turf in Sept.Oct and Nov will pay bigger div. then the cold hurting them will IMO. Cliffton gets his rest for the big batttle with Allen,i cant wait to see that one and how Mike McCarthy will offset him at D-end. I dont know who will win being as its AR first game as a starter, and our running game hasnt functioned and we are going up against a steller run defense, but i dont see another 37-0 game either. You guys have lost more for the year, but, our injuries are more to key players ,but, should be ready for the opener, and some of the injured may not even make the final roster,so well see I still say Detroit is going to suprise everyone.ANy resemblence of a Running game opens the pass even more, and thier pass is enough to open the run abit.and if Detroit can play good defense, they will raise some hell on people
