Standefer, Tigers: 'We're not quitting'

Good for you, coach. The true fans who watch Tiger football aren't quitting on this team or season, either.

Keep the offense going but your QB needs to step it up, I wonder if he can be any better.
Dont think he has the skills to be a QB. Why not use a other QB. Who is Anderson's back-up???
And where is alamo's D????

The D is the scary part. D should always precede O during the season. Not good if you start weak on D.

Kellen Hester is Andersons back-up. he is only a sophmore but he can get the job done. I would give him a chance to ignite the Tiger Offense because I know he can do it

You should have faith in Hester. But there seems to be a reason he is not the starter. And, if I understand it correctly, Baker or Gary Newell are the primary backups.

Hester starts on JV. He is just a sophmore. I know he is Anderson"s back-up. Ask coach!

Hester is a sophmore. Why would he start on VS he is a back up for Tony.

you guys dont know much, kellen is a good quarterback but he is not ready yet, anderson threw well on friday he completed 5 to Weary, one to king, and another to a sophmore named Montes. Then Torey Pinson had an off game droppin 4 on target passes. Tony is getting better give him some time. He does need to work on his reads on run plays but that come with learning. Look for a turnaround on offence and hopefully some SALTY MEAN HITS on friday

That is what alamo is waiting for, D you all need to step it up Sandia been winning their games will be tuff for the Tigers give Tony a chance but if he does't produce for the Tiger offense Someting needs to be done we can not go down like this.
We have to much talent on this team Weary, Baker, Wilson did not play friday what happend to him? Hester is just a sophmore and will be ready next year to start on VS.

Well said everyone! Well except that last one. I think Anderson is looking up, his passes were mostly on target against Goddard. Im ready to see some defense. If they get some stops on defense, I think the offense will take off.

Kellen is a good young QB I think he is ready to backup Anderson when ever the coach needs him.

Nothing wrong with the QB it was the DEF that was ran over. I saw some bad play calling but hey when you drop 3 first downs you can not do anything. Give the QB a chance and lets hope the WR do not drop the easy ones. Coaches need to step up also.

Coach Standefer's statement about not giving up on our kids was NOT reflected in his actions friday night. When things got tough this coach seperated himself from "his" players and stood alone. This conveys the wrong message to our players and tiger fans. All our coaches should stand proud alongside our team whether things are good or not.

Each week we can point to an area of our team thats lacking, but the primary problem is "PRACTICE,PRACTICE,PRACTI CE". Our team does not practice gametime techniques (tackling,coverages,rushing,bl ocking,etc.) Standing affront a player does not improve a player's ability to BLOCK,TACKLE,SACK,PURSUE,ETC. This is the approach of our coaching staff. Wherefore during games when our players miss a block or miss a tackle, remember it's only what they PRACTICED.

3 interceptions I think it's time for Hester to see what he can do for the Tigers.

Kellen Hester he ia a awsome QB I think he had 300 passing yards 3 TD passes and 95% completion Jerrick Manning had 2 TD chris wilson 1 TD The score 45-32 for the Tigers The whole team looked great The coaches are great look what they are doing with JV that team played a HELL of a game
