Anonymous: Rain this morning. Tonight is clear and a nice cool breeze blowing. We are going to hit Miller Park in August(if we can get in to watch a 1st place team!). The gas prices are killing me, but I enjoy the "commute" to the Southside and back to the North. Good combination. Go Sox! And Mercer w3ill welcome you back!
I do not believe that they ever turn anyone away up at Miller. At least that is what the ushers have said. They may sell out though. A good tip: get in right as the gates open if you are standing room only & go directly to the bar tables on the right field line on the second deck. It is not a bad spot, just stay out of the view of the foul pole. Also hope the roof is open & the panels are as well for fresh air. I have to get up from Illinois again soon.

In the 70's the White Sox had an ad campaign of "Winning Ugly." Lately they have been just playing ugly but some how still winning games.

"Playing ugly..but winning!!(somehow)

OK,, needs work.

The Sox know that if they sweep this series the Tiggers season could pretty much be over.

Go Sox!!!

Don's List of Broken Stuff, Realizations & Bravado

1) The R Key on the Keyboard (Small issue with Floyds pitch to Ordonez & Fields Swallowin the ball) I now have to use the on-screen keyboard to get the R to work

2) The Headphones I had on as I was watchin the game on MLB.com (Again the play by Fields on Ordonez's hit...I threw them at the keyboard and thats when the R key went flyin)

3) My Ceramic 1979 Union 76 Sox Mug....(Again the 3rd & again Fields!!....trashed it against the floor ...dang things 40$ on Ebay...ohh well not buyin that!)

4) Konerko hittin over .230...I know he's battled injuries & a slump...but he needs to sit!, he's killin rallies!!

5) My belief that Caberra needs to go at the end of the year....Sign him to a extention, leave the Cuban Toothpick at 2nd. Mainly because the guy is a Gamer and the Sox are not gonna find anyone to play 2nd like The Cuban Toothpick if he replaces Caberra at SS

6) Can we FINALLY put to rest the whole issue of the Sox not havin heart!...They never gave up in this game, you could just feel it, they had men on base at least 3 times before comin thru in the 7th

7) The Pimp for MVP!...without his Pimpness the Sox are toast!...and a Big Shoutout to Apollo for namin Dye The Pimp

8) The Sox pen deserves a Nickname as well....don't have one yet but it'll come to me

9) Good to see Chico & the Kid are back and Supportin the Sox...and the folks of Rice Lake are grateful he's back too so now he can cut his lawn!

10) July 25th and which team in Chicago is Comfortabley in 1st Place?!!!...Ohh yeah the Shamrocks!...Riiiiight (Thats Sarcasam Folks)

11) Jenks looks to be recovered from his shoulder issues, 95,94,96,93,93...ohh yeah Bobby's ready to bring it...now if only Masset would stop givin up dingers the pen would be golden.

12) Again The Pimp for MVP...That's one bad mutha$#@%er...what I'm talkin bout The Pimp!

13) If the Sox keep winnin, the Tigers could be done by the end of this month, I still believe that the only way to clinch this division is to beat the Tigers & Twinkees NOW!.

I grew up in Cleveland in the 1980s, and the Browns were called the Kardiac Kids. The Browns had nothing on these White Sox. Exciting win, but what a fugly game!

It's the perfect time for another one of those White Flag deals. This team won't be healthy enough or deep enough in their pitching to win the Pennant. Time to bolster an atypically weak farm system by trading for a bunch of quality prospects. Dye, Buerhle, Vazquez, even Brian Anderson; get some value out of them while you still can! Rebuild around Ramirez, Fields, Danks, Floyd and some young studs from the Diamondbacks, Mets, Rockies or other teams that are close. Pull the trigger, Kenny!

I forget which year that was, but I think it was the year of the players strike, that screwed the Sox out of a World's Chamionship.
The Texas Ranger manager hung that "Winnin Ugly" monniker on them after the Sox swept a series from them down there where the wins were kinda like tonights, but it is still in the win column and how we won will be forgotten next fall when the "Boys of October" go into gear.

Stick with the Sox
It was 1994 and, no, the Sox were no where near winning a championship. In fact, the season ended in September.

the only change the sox need to do, is dump ed farmer, and bring in a major league play by play radio voice.

farmer kissed shuler's behind, to get the broadcasting job, and had wayne hagin, thrown under the bus!

farmer can call the diaper races at the ultra food store, in harvey.
