Favre gives the Jets players excitement and confidence at the very least, which will last even after he's done. That alone is worth the Favre signing because with Pennington and Clemens, I seriously doubt any players were that optimistic about competeing in the AFC. I think Favre will play for at least 2 seasons which gives the Jets time to either develop Kellen Clemens, draft a QB or trade for one.

Apparently, Newsday doesn't employ proofreaders. Favre passed for 4,155 yards and engineered several 4th-quarter comebacks last year. So much for Shaun Powell's grasp of Favre's recent stats. Keep up the great work.

I think the Jets need to do the conservative, run-oriented offense with Favre in order to be successful. If they try to be the 84 Dolphins and pass on every play, it's not going to work. Of course, that strategy is probably true of all teams, except the 84 Dolphins.

These PSL prices are outrageous and bordering on criminal. If the fans buy those PSL's shouldnt they reap profits everytime a non-football events (concert, soccer, etc.) occurs at the stadium and their seats are used? After all those seats belong to the people who bought the PSLs.

The Johnsons, Maras and Tischs are wealthy beyond means and their forcing fans to buy PSLs is repugnant.
