Jets can dream with Favre

It's a good move for the Jets, even if they only get a year or two out of Favre. As a Packers fan, I'm glad we are moving forward with youth. Maybe Rodgers is the key, maybe not, either way, we don't have to deal with Favre retiring every season, over and over again.

it depends on how long it will take the jets' offensive line to gel, if they do, to tell how successful favre will be. new guys - have to learn to work together.

truth is, favre shows little signs of slowing down, still has the arm strength and passion.
The biggest challenge will be simplfying a system for easy indoctrination and making sure he has deep threats and playmakers around him. Faneca was a great acq.

Brett Farve is a brat

Normally pass on reading Powell columns, this one was actually insightful. To all the naysayers out there; what the heck is there to lose? Was Pennington or Clemens going to do better than Favre? If nothing else, just the threat of the deep ball with Favre will help open up the running game. Excellent move by the Jets.

Want to make it even more interesting? Send Pennington to Miami. He's mad as hell, and he'd get to go head to head twice a year with the team who didn;t want him and the guy who ran him out. Awesome, if it happens.
