Also, Too, in defence of my list, a dynasty is not made in a day (or a year) :)

Cook for Telfair, or Cook for a high draft pick, makes sense to me. And, if you want to give Cook and George, for a high draft pick, that too makes sense to me. We can only have so many PFs, and really Kwame, Turiaf and Odom are quite enough, thank you. So, it really is a matter of being overloaded at a spot, that makes Cook expendable. It's not that he's not first rate. Cook is a 3point shot, not even a consistent mid range. he doesn't rebound and is an abortion on defense. Is "Lok" trying to boost Cook's trade ability by exaggerrating Cook's talents?? Cook for a high draft pick?? NOT A LOTTERY PICK, SO MAYBE THE 20TH??

Dear F&H (is that anything like S&M?), I know those points as well as you do, and I imagine every GM in the country knows them. I don't think Cook has run out of new tricks to learn, and I would think Cook and Mihm will appear mighty appetizing, after the hullabaloo (sp?) is over, come draft time. When reality sets in, shock really, Mihms and Cooks value will skyrocket. The Lakers appear ready and willing to sit on it, until that time comes. And Jeannie has the inside track on nailing down the PG position. Believe me. F&H, also, I did a bait and switch with George. I'm guilty of that. But, as I say, Cook is really a comer on offense (he'll improve over what you list correctly as his past), I would bet, and so would a lot of GMs I'd bet. Cook and Mihm will probably be what the Lakers' dangle when the danglings good :)
I know a lot of woe-is-me Lakers fans. They sounded even worse before LAST season, when I assured them, not to worry! The Lakers' org is sitting pretty, and can afford to be coy. A lot of teams with HIGH HOPES, I'VE GOT HIGH HOPES right now, are going to be feeling pretty despondent when reality sets in, about end-of-draft time.
I mean a lot of bulls, knicks, et al fans would be glad to trade shoes with our record and accomplishments, I imagine. But, then maybe not. Show me a good loser, and I'll show you ...

I have updated my list with what it looks like now. It's a bare bones affair with the whip cream on the bottom :)(After draft time.)
Kwame C (Bynum backup) Odom PF (Turiaf backup) ? SF (Walton 6th man) Kobe SG (Vujacic backup) ? PG (Profit, Parker backup)
?PG: no one adequate but Jeannie (she has inside track) ?SF: Walton, Kobe, Odom problematical: Von Wafer and Green trade: Cook, Mihm and George my wish list: no one but whom the Lakers' org trade for or draft

Since it's a bare bones affair, I put back Walton at starting SF. I have updated my list with what it looks like now. It's a bare bones affair with the whip cream on the bottom :)(After draft time.)
I can see youse guys rolling your eyes now. This team ain't half bad :)(But, I doubt it's exactly the team we'll have at beginning of next year. But, not far off.)

But if all Walton is, is Wally Szerbiak with better rebounding ability, he needs to be on the bench.
