That may have been true, about that slip up by Sams possibly costing the Ravens a playoff spot in 04 (something that would have put a MUCH more favorable cap on Boller's only full season in the NFL to Raven's fans short memories). But, they also failed to mention that in that same rookie season, B.J. Sams had not one but TWO punt return TDs. He hasn't had a TD since, but he has been a VERY solid return specialist in both 05 and 06, and until he got hurt last season, he was actually better than ever, and on a major role. I thought then and still think now that had we had a healthy Sams available to us in our playoff game against the Colts, his solid and sometimes amazing return abilities could have meant the difference between a win and a loss for us THEN as well.

I think Figurs will do quit well.....it's kind of weird that they have him as KR while keepings Sams as PR....because that's actually what I've got set up on Madden 08 right now. Creepy. But either way, while I hope Figurs steps up and does well for this team, I don't want the Ravens to get rid of Sams either. He's a great player, and he's been very solid for us, and if last season was any indication, losing one great return specialist can really be all the difference in the world, as neither Ivy nor Ross could really replace him. With both him AND Figurs, we have two very good returners, so if one DOES go down, we'll still have an explosive return game. Which we NEED, if we're going to even attempt to try and go "all the way" this season.....
