no no no kind sir. You must don't understand what "Technically" speaking means.
Rex Ryan called the dumbest timeout ever sure, BUT, the NFL Rule book states clearly that ONLY the head coach can make a timeout call from the sideline, billick did NOT make the call. The refs later apologized to the Ravens for admitting they didn't even bother to see who actually called the timeout. Billick even went so far as to apologize for not protesting it further since he himself did not want a timeout called.
Hence my originally point, RAVENS beat the cheatriots.
Which explains why many of us are so glad HE'S GONE!

blame Ryan, not Bilick. Had the play continued and it turned sour for the Ravens and the TO not heard, then there'd be another to blame. hindsight is always 20/20 and it just doesn't matter.

What are you the color police? Dingdong. The purples are a last place team and can only dream of the success enjoyed by the Steelers.Dream on douchey.
You clearly are looking at the world through purple bird feathered lenses. Hines' hit was a perfect block. Knocked that chump reed out!! I love to watch it on youtube.
We split the series because the last game was meaningless for the Steelers. We were already in the post season.
Ward had a knee injury and the coaches rested him. You are silly little man if you think Ward is afraid of anyone on the field. He is one of the toughest football players in the league.
What a homer your are to think that any Steeler is afraid of anyone on a last place team! The mighty Steelers are the bullies of the AFC north. Get used to it. Chump.
LET'S GO BLACK AND GOLD!!!!!
Hmmm...

Ravens vs. Steelers last 9 head-to-head meetings (dating back to 12/2003)

Ravens record 6-3.

We especially own you in our house, just like the Jags own you in your house - HAHA!

Conclusions-
Ravens wanted to win this game bad to stop the slide. Steelers would like to have won, but the playoffs were more important. Ravens 2nd and 3rd stringers may be better than Pittsburghs 2nd and 3rd string. The first game due to what was at stake, is a much better barometer of where these teams were.
Please stop trying to pretend that Pittsburgh put fourth the same effort to win as they did in the first game. Ravens were heavily injured but were not decimated due to the fact that the team lacks star power in the first place.
Typical Steelers fan. Whine about your MIA players, when our entire team was out most of the season. So the first game was the barometer? You consider Ben throwing TDs against 2 rookie cornerbacks a measuring point? Both of our starting corners were out smart guy...it's funny how when you win it's a good measure. But when the teams played evenly, both w/ starters missing, that's not fair to the Squeelers.

The sad fact of the matter is both teams will probably stink this year, b/c both of them will have awful O-lines.

Sadly, the whole division is going to have a down year. It looks pretty bad.

As a coach, I can tell you the buck stops with me. It's my team, my responsibilty. Billick gets the blame whether it's his fault or not, but hey, water under the bridge. He's collecting 8M at his new house on the eastern shore. Don't we all wish we were that lucky...ha..ha

As Prostrate Rob pointed out you are living in the past dude. The teams have both changed dramatically since 2003. What are you freeze-dried? Stick with program 2 seasons ago you guys went to the playoffs and swept the Steelers. Last season we went to the playoffs and crushed the ravens (discounting the last meaningless game of course). Here's where it might be difficult for you so stay with me...This season both teams are 0-0 and the Steelers are looking to field a better team...spells trouble in purple bird land that's for sure.

LOL!! The Ravens' only hope in the division rests with Troy Smith. The Purple-Headed Chicken-Chokers always try to emulate the Steelers, so they'll keep thinking a big, strong-armed guy is the key to beating them, but in fact it's always been the quick, little Jeff Blake-type dudes that have given the Steelers the most trouble.

Checked with Vegas, today the Steeler's are 18-1 to win the SB. 9-1 to win the AFC. Apparently, the odds makers are not impressed. They have Baltimore 7-9, Pittburgh 9-7 and Browns 10-6. That might be subject to change if Anderson gets knocked out again. We will see.

I feel ya, but Bart scott and Rolle had no business acting like fools during and after the game though, as much as I hate billick he had nothing to do with that.

See, I would disagree. The coach is responsible for his players. This isn't the first time these incidents had happenned. Remember the Lions game? I am not making excuses for them because they are men and are responsible for their own actions, BUT, the coach has to have control of the team. It's not like Billick took any action after the game.

moral victory is a figure of speach, used especially when one loses a game when they played extremely well and should have won. Has nothing to do with the definiton of moral you're confusing this with. A technicality is a fact based analogy, or in this case, a win. Sorry. Websters is available to you at www.websters.com

The Raven's had a lot of "moral" victories last year, lol, like the infamous Brown's field goal. While "technically" the field goal was good, the field referee ruled it no good and that should have been it. The Head Referee violated league rules and used the instant replay to look at the call on the sideline and reversed the call on the field. The game should have been over and then the Browns could have complained about a bad call, lol. That game and the NE game were two games where "blown calls" by the officials actually decided the outcome of a game versus just changing the outocme of a series. But hey, it's the NFL,**** happens!

The Ravens will be the only challengers to the Steelers in the AFC North for the next 5 years. Cincy just can't stop picking criminals to represent them, and the Browns just can't seem to understand that you build your team through the draft...not destroying your roster by negating younger players that could help you out for one season. And choosing players that will retire in 1 or 2 years.

Ok, I understand...you think you can win now...I get that. But we've been here like an anchor for a decade. You really think you're going to supplant us by a few off-season moves? C'mon, Brown fans. Look at the logic. You might hold a division title (which I HIGHLY doubt)...but what happens after your team retires. UDFA's and rookies aside...the Steelers are the third youngest team in the league. Consider that.
