You no what that was a pretty boring 150 yard game by Orton... Bears Win Bears Win...

I know in your Rex Grossman supporters mind the bears would have won 500 to 0.

Well, Orton got the job done. Not in stunning fashion or anything, but he got it done. That's all we've been asking of a quarterback for the better part of two decades now...

I am so, so happy to be wrong about the defense. They were able to turn it on like a switch, holy crap! Great game guys. You al heard me say it here though, I REALLY like our running back situation. Forte is the real deal. His confidence and success was contagious tonight. Oh how sweet it is to have a running game that this offense revolves around. Greg Olson will blossom this year if we get him the ball. We have a couple of starts developing in front of our eyes folks, and it's not on the fdefense this time.

That was bears football, orton picked up 3rd downs, receivers got open and made key catches, Forte is a beast, and the d played possum. GO BEARS!

Bears ran the football so well they didn't need Orton.
You could tell the OL blocks for runs much better than pass protection.
That's also why he didn't pass much throughout the game.

Great way to start the season. Looked solid on both sides of the ball. Good game plan. Good coaching. There is magic in the air in Chicago this summer that will make fall even prettier. Somewhere Walter Payton is smiling.

Great game plan. How bout the Bears not telegraphing the D. Man D? Shocking! Running off the bus and on the field?Amazing! Throwing to the tight ends? Wow! Wonder what Benson is thinking?

Whew! We were worried, because Kyle said he was going to shave us off if the Bears lost to the Colts. Guess we're good until at least next week.
Buy Forte a tall cold one. Along with the O-line, the tight ends, the D-line, the DBs (especially Tillman and Vasher) and the special teams (except Hester). They all earned it.
Go Bears! Go Neck Beards!

I think M&M were STUNNED at what Da Bears did against the heavily favored Colts, just like our local 'Nattering Nabobs of Negativism' sports writers who to a man (and women) EXPECTED the Bears would get hammered in Indy... NOT!

It's in honor of Gene Upshaw, the former NFL Players Union head, who died recently.

Who cares what Benson is thinking? I'M thinking, maybe the running game's problem last year wasn't entirely with the offensive line after all, but possibly the fault of a featured running back who never did "get off the bus running". Welcome to Chicago, Matt Forte, and welcome back Mike Brown and your partners on D.. we all missed you last year.
