Yeah, that never happens, except for the Jazz ten years ago. Oh, and the Nets five years ago. But other than those four years out of the last ten, it never happens. Nice take.I say Celtics in 6. Teams just don't go to a championship one year lose and return the following EXPEICALLY IF THAT TEAM HAS 1 OR MRE CHAMPOIONSHIP UNDER THERE BELT!!!!!!! Infact the only time I've ever seen a team do that in the NBA was in 1997 & 1998 with the Utah Jazz when they got smashed by the Bulls both times!!!!!
So Cleveland is going down in 6 games seen it happen.
Potent Celtics will test Cavaliers

The Pistons team, who made no new adjustments would beat Boston. Lebron Creates 4 match-up problems now that he doesn't have to be on the ball he will be in the post. Boston doesn't have a center. Any team without a center Cannot beat Cleveland. We have the best defensive center in the East.
CAVS IN 4!!!!!!!!!! THANK ME WHEN IT'S OVER!!!!!!!!!! |

It was less publicized than DeStupid's fine, but Pierce was actually also fined for making a menacing gesture toward the Hawks' bench during their series. |

Celtics in 4.
Sorry Cavs! |

What a stupid post and prediction. Have you paid any attention at all to the first round? I am not ready to predict that the Cavs will upset the mighty Celtics, but it won't be a sweep. You may as well have picked the Celtics in three. Let's not forget that this Celtics team still has never won anything meaningful, 66 regular-season wins or not. So far they're nothing but a regular-season team that just escaped what would have been the most monumental collapse in NBA playoff history. If the Hawks could take them to the brink and force a game 7, what will happen when they face teams that have actually been in the playoffs during the past decade, let alone won multiple series? We'll see. As of right now, LeBron has one more finals appearance than (and the same number of rings as) all of the the "Big Three" combined. GO CAVS! |
|
League conspiracy....yawn.....just as many think the league want Lebron....such a boring argument. Why do you bother watching if it comes down to officiating? |
|
Actually the Celtics are huge trash talkers. Pierce has a really nasty history with James, and Garnett is notorious for running his mouth during a game. Tempers are likely to flare more than once during the series, with Pierce most likely to lose his cool and Posey most likely to make the flagrant 2 foul and earn a suspension. |
|
Let's face it, almost everyone is at a disadvantage one on one against Lebron, but Pierce is a very solid defender, and so is James Posey. |
|
All of the Celtics Big three have played in he Conference Finals at some point in their career. Cassell & Posey have rings. On top of that, there's over 200 games of playoff experience in their locker room between Brown, Pollard, Scalabrine, & House. Don't kid yourself that the Cavs are more experienced or bigger winners. They aren't. But I still hope they win! |
|
You're right about the role players' experience, but the guys who will have the ball in their hands when it counts have yet to prove they can advance on the big stage. Garnett deferred to Cassell during his MVP year, Ray Allen was often second or third fiddle to Robinson and/or Cassell, and Pierce often deferred to Walker for last-second shots (although he admittedly is the most established big-game player of the three). Point is, Finals experience in your number 8-10 guys doesn't do you much good if your number 1 is not clutch, and Garnett has never proven that he is (a true no. 1 OR clutch). They're a great team, no question. But they haven't proven anything yet, despite the fact that every third commercial and ESPN story is about them. Should be a good series. GO CAVS! |
|
uh...who has 1 OR MRE CHAMPOIONSHIP UNDER THERE BELT? The Celts have a dominant history, but haven't won since the Champ since 86. Playoff experience from 22 years ago is probably not going to help them out that much this week. |

Dude, you're my new favorite poster. Come on over to some Brown's articles, I've got some Steelers fans for you to talk to. Also, I'm interested to see the Wallace/Garnett matchup. Both are premier defenders. I want to see if Wallace can be more of a defensive force now that he doesn't have to run out to the 3 point line (Jamison). If he holds his own, LeBron outscores Pierce, and the biggest one of all: JUST STAY ON ALLEN OUTSIDE THE 3 PT LINE!... Then I like our chances. Let Rondo go to the basket all day. I'll live with that. Just don't let him drive, then we come off to help, and he dishes for a thundering dunk from Garnett that sends the Gardens into a frenzy. Likewise, don't break down to help defend Rondo and let ol'man Allen score 3 after 3 after 3 without having to take a step to get open. |

The Celtics are old and tired... Cavs win this thing in 6.

The Cavs can win this series.

The trade actually hurt the Cavs in a seven game series with Boston. Boston is vulnerable to athletic penetrators. Besides Lebron, the Cavs don't have that. The Cavs after the trade became a jump shooting team which plays right into the Celts hands. I would of prefered to go against Detroit with this Cavs lineup. They could of pulled that out. Sadly, I don't think the Cavs win more than two in this one.
And Doc Rivers > than Mike Brown. Sorry had to throw that in there. |
