This just in from ESPN.com :
"Brett Favre's agent, Bus Cook, just released the following statement: "Brett wants permission from the Packers organization to seek a trade to the Minnesota Vikings, who are prepared to offer Green Bay their first round draft picks in 2009, 2010, 2011 AND their 4th round picks for the next decade." When asked why on earth Favre would want to play for a division rival, Cook responded with: "It's very simple actually. Brett wants to get as far away from professional football as possible." |

Good job with the same post of multiple forums, again very clever. By the way I'm still waiting for your unbiased view of your Packers, but since you resorted to making lame jokes, I'll take that as you can't think of anything about your team without your green and gold glasses on, mainly because you have very little to no football knowledge. So please answer my question or just stop talking, you're hurting everyone with a brain, even your own fans. |

Our o-line sucks? Really, is that why they paved the way for AP and CT to rush for over 2000 yards last season? I think anyone with any football knowledge would tell you that we have a very good o-line with those stats. Oh and your cb's were torched in that final game of the year for your team, so I guess saying ours suck is like the pot calling the kettle black. And again your qb doesn't even have 1 NFL start under his belt, he's gotten injured as a backup(even in practice, how does that happen as a backup?) and he is followed by 2 rookies that haven't had 1 snap in the NFL, so again the pot calling the kettle black. Come back when you know something about football. |

Best O line? I wish. Maybe before we let 3 Pro Bowlers walk as free agents. We have 2 good tackles, but it's been musical chairs in between for 3 seasons--and the tackles are getting "experienced," so to speak. This is why the Pack keep picking O linemen. As for Super Bowl contenders--yeah, we all knew the Giants would win, right? In the NFC, you never know... whoever gets hot. The two teams under radar are the Seahawks (how I can't imagine) and the Eagles (check out their schedule). Aside from a road game at Seattle and their division foes, they've got PIT, STL, ATL, CLE, and ARI all at home, plus a road date in SF & CIN. They could play .500 in their division and win 10+ games. They won 8 last year despite losing to GB, NE, NY & CHIC all by 3 pts, SEA by 4. I wouldn't count them as far out as a lot people do.

Excellent post, looks like you are one of the few Pack fans that understands the game of football and sees the whole picture clearly, rather than through green and gold colored glasses. You are absolutely right with the whole you never know who it's going to be. Just look at the NFC the last few years, it's been Philly, Chicago and NY. Sure the AFC you'll always have NE and Indy, but the NFC is always wide open. |

Thanks. Fun season coming. May the North rule and crush all Cowboy dreams.

I said the NFC NORTH. And the giants were a damn good team in the best division last year. I think the NFC north can and will be a very open division where 10-6 wins it....the bears can even surprise some people in the division. |
. They'll surprise ME if they average 10 points a game !! . |
Of course they would bill. You forgot to take your I am not a dumb a-- pill. Take that and you will no longer be a dumb a--. |
Dude you're howling at the moon. NFC North, right. What am I saying about 3 posts back? Argue with yourself. You got no beef with me. |
. Why so hostile, Franklin?? Did we wet our jammies again?? . |
Sorry Bill. I was having a bad day yesterday, I should not have said that. I am sure that in real life you are a great guy and not a total dumb a--. Sorry. |

i agree with most of this page's posts. I think that the north will be pretty even, no one team seems to have a huge edge over another (i would say the pack and viks have the edge over the bears and lions if anything). I personally think that it will come down to which QB's play well. If T-Jack actually comes together this year, the viks will have a good season, if not, 8-8 again, AD can win a few on his own, he is great (as long as he stays healthy).
Same with GB, if Rodgers ends up being good, they will have a great season, not much changes beside the QB. If he sucks, it will be a rough year. To be honest, I think that it will be somewhere in between. He will have some great games and some where he will get picked off 3+ times. From what I hear, the bears are sticking with Rex, sorry, unless he is injured in the first game, you guys are in for another bad year. Lions, i never pay attention too, i expect them to suck every year (since b-sanders left, they seem to pose no threat). |

Josh: I am as big a Vikes fan as there is but....comparing the braindead project we have at QB with Peyton Manning, is like comparing a ford pinto and a corvette. The last time a team lead the league in both rushing and stopping the rush and did not make the playoffs was in 1981..the dreadful LieDowns out of the motor city...we are in rarified air brother. To try punk the green clad pukes over that is a losing battle. they are clearly better at QB & WR than we are, but they will not rule the day this year. Their ace up the sleeve is gone. Jared Allen will make a bigger difference than t-joke will. His presence makes the CB's & Safeties better already. |
Yeah.... Vikes rule.... Until the first round of the playoffs.

im not comparing t-jack to manning or saying he will be as good either. i was just saying how bad peyton was his rookie year and now look at him. i just think people need to give jackson another year or two before they talk trash. all the packer fans think rodgers is already better when he hasnt even started and has played maybe 3 quarters of an nfl game and jackson has an entire starting season under his belt. |
I know, that was our problem..particularily in those situations that called for leadership and playmaking at the qb position. Thanks for ruining my lunch with the painful reminder:) |
Wait a second... We don't know what we have in Rodgers. It's you guys who are saying all this stuff--mostly gloating because Favre hung it up. We have confidence in him the way you do in TJack and Rex, which isn't a Hall of Fame endorsement by any stretch. He may lay an egg or get hurt or he might do okay. Time will tell.
