i never said they were great but they are both better than marty booker and brandon lloyd. berrian and muhammod couldnt get the job done so why do you think lloyd and booker will. they really should of taken mendenhall.
Mendenhall would have been tremendous! He and Cedric Benson as a one two punch.

i definitely disagree with taking rashard mendenhall over chris williams...how the heck are they going to run the ball with no OL? that case is closed...yeah mendenhall is good but with no OL he cant go any where...and forte is a good pick up for the bears (not as good as kevin smith for the LIONS!) but he's an every down back unlike benson...forte has good hands good explosion and power...who said he wasn't powerful? you cant run in a d-1 for 2,000 yards without any power sorry...they should of got booty in the fourth or fifth round but they didn't...i think brandon lloyd is very underrated and will do a good job if he gets the ball thrown to him...everyone knows he has one of the best hands in the league

my prediction sorry to say but here it is

Vikings 11-5* Booo!!

Lions 9-7

Packers 8-8

Bears 5-11

im a realist...because of the d-line the vikings have...if jared allen continues to play like he's done they will be a defense to be reckoned with...the lions will do much better in both running and run defense as well as pass def...they got leigh bodden who owns chad johnson and they're putting him in a system where his physicalities will explode...the packers lost williams and thats huge and as well as brett favre....they need the energy and leadership of favre therfore they will not be as good...the bears are just in the gutter....my dad is a die hard bears fan and we talk about it all the time...they need to rebuild on offense and just sign urlacher and harris because the bears are hanging by a thread and that thread is urlacher...they need him and that defense because that is thier whole team

Mendenhall is a legit back,Olineman can be found in midrounds and even late rounds. If you find a hard working, good work ethic lineman who fits the system, you will have a good lineman for years to come ( barring injury of course) which is why i thought Mendenhall was a good pick for them at that time.

I agree Detroit will be much better, but Corey Williams wasnt a starter in GB last year.Jonny Jolly outplayed him and Corey was in the rotation,so its not the big loss, everyone is making it out to be.Im sure if theres a spot to be had,MM would pickup a backup vet Dlineman,so thats not a problem assuming everyone is healthy ( which counts for everyone, ever team)

the bears have a good enough o-line for mendenhall to have a good season behind them. thats because mendenhall is a beast. and what i have seen of forte on film, he doesnt look that powerful or fast. if you have to have power to play d1 and run for 2,000 yards then why did kevin smith. because he is not a powerful back at all and i could probably lift more than him in the weight room and that is where power comes from. so you just put your foot in your mouth on that one. i dont think he even comes anywhere close to smith and hes not the greatest. they definitely should of taken booty but they are not smart enough to give up on grossman because if hes not injured hes sucking it up on the field. as far as your comments on lloyd, he is an ok WR. nothing great. my point was just that berrian and muhammod were both better than him and they couldnt get the job done in chicago so do you think he will.

thank you. im so tired of hearing these dumb@ss packer fans talk on here and have no facts to back up what their saying. its just nice to actually hear something from an actual realistic fan. the packers have a huge loss in brett favre and the bears team is their defense. they really do need to resign urlacher and harris to. urlacher is one of the greatest players to ever walk down halas hall and is the best MLB in the league. you have to keep someone like that on your team happy. the only thing i disagree with that you said is the lions will be better defending the run. they lost one their starting DT's in shaun rodgers. and he is a big boy who takes at least two blockers every play.

GO VIKINGS!!!

my predictions for the 2008 season are:
vikings 12-4
lions 9-7
packers 7-9
bears 4-12

Well here's a couple of facts: we outranked you in total defense, ypg rushing and passing on both sides of the ball, as we did the rest of the division (nfl.com). Favre IS a huge loss, but he didn't block or tackle. The facts speak for themselves.

wow. i love when morons respond. if you go back and look at the stats you would see that the vikings led nfl in yards per carry, rushing yards a game, and allowed the least amount of rushing yards on defense. you gave me the site that you said i could find this at and i went to it and the stats prove me right. so the next time you want to open your big mouth then make you are prepared and you have your priorities straight. but hey, i wont hold it against you because your a packer fan and most arent too smart.

Oh, those stats, well let's just hash them over here, shall we?

NY vs. GB
Total net yards NY 377 GB 264
Time of Possession NY 40:01 GB 22:34
Farve 19 of 35 for 236 yards, 2 TD's and 2 Int's
Grant 13 rushes for an astounding 29 yards
Plaxico Burress 11 catches for 151 yards almost exclusively on Harris.

Glad you brought up post season stats yellow legs.

That one's old. Josh is right--I will recognize my error as he did to me 2 days ago. As for you, 40: you lost 2 clutch games that would have gotten you into the playoffs. 7 Pro Bowlers and 8 wins. That's some great coaching.

Not hardly, the Bears offense will be the most pathetic in a long line of pathetic offensive offerings. I sure do not hear any optimism here. I here more about what the Vikes have on ESPN 1000 and what the Bears don't have...

That is because we insisted on playing a braindead QB with no apparent clue on how to play the position. As it is, you got as far as we would have, only with out the pee stains on #7's pant leg. This is a new year. Enjoy the porcelin doll at QB you got. Our backup QB is better than yours...your coach is smarter than ours. So what.

ITs a embarrassment to lose to a team that set records with 11 straight road wins, and dominated the NFL token and ruined a perfect season for a team that would have had the first one in 35 years. Like mentioned above, 7 probowlers and 8 wins, thats underachieving.Maybe this year, but maybe not.

Thanks eric. Andy, Brian Griese is what he is. He didn't solve Denver or Tampa's problems, so...? Rex is back in the driver's seat. And he missed 2 seasons injured, so let's not be so quick to label someone porcelain... It's the run game that makes your team go--so we'll see. You and the Vikings really should just avoid water craft altogether. And I think our backup IS as good as your backup--and you should have selected him. UFA Caleb Hanie is a good prospect if the Bears keep him.

you can find any prospect in the mid rounds especially a RB...thats such a broad statement man...the bears OL are over 30 and a little above average o-lineman at that...but thats changes the older they get...and kevin smith is strong he breaks tackles left and right and also very shifty...i dont think your watching the same 24k iam...and second of all weight room strength dosnt mean anything brosef...i know many people who are stonger than me in the weight room but when it comes to natural strength i put those guys on their back, ask any real mma fighter or football player...of course lifting weights help and progress your strength but when that natural strength kicks in no one can touch you...and about lloyd it all depends how you mean about getting the job done...do you mean like 1000yds+? or making clutch grabs to win the game?

yeah williams was lining up in the rotation but he was set to start this season for the packs because he showed great improvement...but that all ended for an overrated 2nd round pick...no doubt we lost a lot (weight) when rogers left but we have more dt's who play throughout the season and we got chuck darby whos not bad when he plays a full season...our run def is going to do better because of the knowledge the players are getting out of the tampa 2...you have to remember this is our 3rd year in one of the hardest systems to learn especially for the MLB....we brought in plenty of veterans in who know the tampa 2 like the back of their hands and thats going to dramatically help the younger guys...remember football is 90% mental and 50% physical lol
