Mendenhall would have been tremendous! He and Cedric Benson as a one two punch.

i definitely disagree with taking rashard mendenhall over chris williams...how the heck are they going to run the ball with no OL? that case is closed...yeah mendenhall is good but with no OL he cant go any where...and forte is a good pick up for the bears (not as good as kevin smith for the LIONS!) but he's an every down back unlike benson...forte has good hands good explosion and power...who said he wasn't powerful? you cant run in a d-1 for 2,000 yards without any power sorry...they should of got booty in the fourth or fifth round but they didn't...i think brandon lloyd is very underrated and will do a good job if he gets the ball thrown to him...everyone knows he has one of the best hands in the league

my prediction sorry to say but here it is
Vikings 11-5* Booo!!
Lions 9-7 Packers 8-8
Bears 5-11
im a realist...because of the d-line the vikings have...if jared allen continues to play like he's done they will be a defense to be reckoned with...the lions will do much better in both running and run defense as well as pass def...they got leigh bodden who owns chad johnson and they're putting him in a system where his physicalities will explode...the packers lost williams and thats huge and as well as brett favre....they need the energy and leadership of favre therfore they will not be as good...the bears are just in the gutter....my dad is a die hard bears fan and we talk about it all the time...they need to rebuild on offense and just sign urlacher and harris because the bears are hanging by a thread and that thread is urlacher...they need him and that defense because that is thier whole team

GO VIKINGS!!! my predictions for the 2008 season are: vikings 12-4 lions 9-7 packers 7-9 bears 4-12

Well here's a couple of facts: we outranked you in total defense, ypg rushing and passing on both sides of the ball, as we did the rest of the division (nfl.com). Favre IS a huge loss, but he didn't block or tackle. The facts speak for themselves.

NY vs. GB Total net yards NY 377 GB 264 Time of Possession NY 40:01 GB 22:34 Farve 19 of 35 for 236 yards, 2 TD's and 2 Int's Grant 13 rushes for an astounding 29 yards Plaxico Burress 11 catches for 151 yards almost exclusively on Harris. Glad you brought up post season stats yellow legs.

That one's old. Josh is right--I will recognize my error as he did to me 2 days ago. As for you, 40: you lost 2 clutch games that would have gotten you into the playoffs. 7 Pro Bowlers and 8 wins. That's some great coaching.

I sure do not hear any optimism here. I here more about what the Vikes have on ESPN 1000 and what the Bears don't have...

That is because we insisted on playing a braindead QB with no apparent clue on how to play the position. As it is, you got as far as we would have, only with out the pee stains on #7's pant leg. This is a new year. Enjoy the porcelin doll at QB you got. Our backup QB is better than yours...your coach is smarter than ours. So what.

ITs a embarrassment to lose to a team that set records with 11 straight road wins, and dominated the NFL token and ruined a perfect season for a team that would have had the first one in 35 years. Like mentioned above, 7 probowlers and 8 wins, thats underachieving.Maybe this year, but maybe not.

Thanks eric. Andy, Brian Griese is what he is. He didn't solve Denver or Tampa's problems, so...? Rex is back in the driver's seat. And he missed 2 seasons injured, so let's not be so quick to label someone porcelain... It's the run game that makes your team go--so we'll see. You and the Vikings really should just avoid water craft altogether. And I think our backup IS as good as your backup--and you should have selected him. UFA Caleb Hanie is a good prospect if the Bears keep him.
