Is Barbosa a point guard? I'm iffy on this trade. I like that we would get a scorer in Barbosa and a tough defender and good rebounder in Lee. This would allow us to move Lewis to the 3 where I think he will be the All-star he once was, BUT,,,I love the matchup problems that the Magic create by having two 6'10" players who can shoot the three. The Lewis,Turk and Howard frontcourt caused alot of problems for opposing defenses due to the ability to hit the three. Also for Turk who had an All-Star year, it seems we could get a better deal. Although Barbosa is good. If he runs the point then that would be a decent deal I guess. Not so sure that I'm sold on it being a good deal though, I need to go sit on Johnny Porcelin and ponder this a bit.
supposely he (Barbosa) is pg and backed up nash pretty well. i would be okay with getting him or lee as the trade was proposed from magic but im a little iffy about a few things. plus why trade when you claim off of waivers?? or sign a international player seeing how they play in the olympics. like say jr holden who plays for the ruskies (russia).

Because the Knicks are worse then the Magic, plus didn't you know that J hates cold weather. Sending him to a city that doesn't get all that cold like Houston, Miami would make him a lot happier lol. Now you see why he would rather stay in Orlando.
Yeah...well it's never COLD in Madison Sq.Garden when JJ lights it up with 25 or 30! He loves to play there and who better to be the Coach than D'Antoni.
I would love to see the Magic get D. Lee as I have always wanted to see brothers on the same team! It would be Great Fun to watch David & Courtney...the LEE brothers play together!!!

i like the people included but i if your throwing 3 players we should at least get a draft pick in return.
As long as it's a second rounder than it would keep the salaries even. Besides, we pick better in the second round anyhow.

i doubt he'd make that many if he was overseas most likely yeah. but most sg would punk him and have him creating turnovers.

right now were ranked 6th in hoopsworld ranking of the eastern confrence. it speaks measures.
we haven't really bolstered up our roster. he have mostly shooters but not many defenders. we dont have a good pg that can be a pass first and then a good defender. we really dont have much at the center and power forward. signing foyle wasnt making much of a slapsh and if you add he's a vet and is a locker room leader type. we could have gotten that in mutombo is we could have thrown a little extra money in a deal. he's not willing to deal the hamster because he believe this guy is the messiah for some reason.
otis needs to make some moves or be fired. and we need a gm who isnt afraid of dealing even if it means looking a potential "core guy like say nelson, jj or turk.
Otis did an awful job assembling a team that won 52 games you and everyone else are just a bunch of haters
