“My 100 percent intent is to work out an extension with Roush”
Greg Biffle certainly didn't sound like a guy committed to Roush Fenway Racing when he blasted the faulty equipment that led to his last-place finish at Darlington Raceway. via Sun-Journal

Maybe he could go into JGR fourth team. I really don't think that JGR is going to release Tony early so that would be the only option until Tony does retire, then someone could take over that ride.

Don't forget Joey L. Is probably going to be the 4th driver or the replacement for Tony come 2009. |
|
Don't think that's going to happen. I think The Biff will stay right where he is. Of course you never know.... That's what Silly Season is all about.

Things to ponder:
1. If Smoke decides to leave RGR a year early, will the Gibbs make themselves look bad by trying to make Smoke finish his contract or release him? 2. Is Smoke ready to start his own NASCAR venture and thinks buying into an existing team is the best way to start? 3. If Smoke leaves RGR, will Zippy stay or go with Smoke? 4. Would the Biff be a better fit at RGR or RCR? 5. Bonus question: Will Michael and Buffy get back together? |

he will stay at dei. |
Hey Andy, how's granny? Why don't you think Mikey and Buffy will get back together? |
|
Probably so... but with silly season you never know. I did read somewhere that Penske w/UPS may be out there. I know DEI would like to exercise their 1 yr option on his contract but he hasn't agreed to it yet. I guess things will all start to fall into place in the next couple of months. Should be interesting. |

My favorite driver is Greg Biffle and I want him to stay at Rousch until he is a Champion.

Probably not going to happen for him if he stays at RFR. |
|
I felt so bad for him! He is really feeling the frustration.

Biffle might finally be ready to test the free-agent market.
If that's indeed the case, the first place Biffle should look is Tony Stewart's seat at Joe Gibbs Racing. Of course, that ride isn't technically open right now. Stewart is under contract through 2009, he's yet to ask to be released from his contract early and Gibbs officials have insisted they'll hold him to his deal. But it's becoming increasingly clearer that the two-time champion has some juicy offers on the table that he's taking rather seriously. Among Stewart's options is an opportunity to purchase fledgling Haas-CNC Racing. On paper it seems a peculiar fit — the team doesn't run up front, its sponsorship isn't unlimited and Stewart would have to overhaul the entire program — but it sure looks like Stewart is interested. |

Gotta remember that Rousch has to go down to four teams after next year. Edwards just extended his contract, I think McMurray has time left on his contract. So that leaves Biff, Kenseth, and Ragan. Who's gonna go? I bet Biff looks at all his options and goes somewhere else.

|
Biff said a few weeks ago that he wanted to stay w/Roush. The contract was supposed to be pretty much finished and almost ready for him to sign. BUT!! You never know until that contract is signed, sealed and delivered. |
|
I gotta say that Biffle wheeling a JGR Toyota would be real nice. Gotta like the TRD engine, and the way Kyle Bush is driving over there you have to think it is very enticing for him. |
