Nascar says they are going to let the drivers show some personality and let them go a little and then they backstep and put these two on probation. Just give them a fine and get on with it. No harm no foul!

for one thing it was kyle busch, nascar sucks these days.nascar has lost ratings over the last few years for crap like this.years ago nascar was fun to watch, when the drivers were allowed to police each other a little bit.now its like watching 43 robots, they cant speak out, cant keep each other in line, and they all say just about the same thing when interviewd.nascar racing has become almost as boring as watching soccer.nascar has become nothing but one long tv commercial thats takes up to much airtime.

Let's get someone to write about NASCAR that checks his facts. The Rock and Roll 400 is the Richmond race NOT Fontana.
I'm surprised that probation is all they did. I guess taking 100 points away from Kyle right now really doesn't mean a thing. Maybe 10 of the bonus points? That might have hurt him some.

This rivalry is just what we needed. I'm so sick of the Johnsons, Gordons, Kenseths and even Jr. now, just spouting their PC crap and racing like a bunch of cry babies if someone races them hard and doesn't just pull over when they come up behind someone.

I hope that Kyle or Carl wins the championship. I'd be happy with either one of them. ANYBODY BUT HENDRICKS!!!

Jesus, how many uninformed knuckleheads like this are out there? They're not on probation for the "nudge", it's for the antics that transpired after the checkered flag waved! Busch banged into Edwards door and Edwards T-boned and spun Busch! Whatever NASCAR does, they have to do it to both drivers, they've already established that precedent.

That ever popular phrase: "Actions detrimental to stock car racing" cannot be ignored in this case. Tempers will flare and Bristol is notorious for such antics. While I see very little wrong with the post race actions of either L'il Kyle or Carl Edwards, SOMETHING had to be done. I know NASCAR says they want the drivers to feel like they can show some emotion, but they also have expressed their desire to have the drivers stop bashing the COT (What do we call it next YEAR? It still won't be tomorrow anymore!). NASCAR has long been promoting the image of a family friendly sport, and such public displays of emotion while using a vehicle seem to embrace Race Track/Road Rage - that is not the right image to give L'il Johnny as he watches these drivers from home each week.

The thing I find most interesting about this, is that it happens to involve the two people that will likely be the strongest contenders for the Championship as soon as the Chase begins. There's a very fine line between punishing them too aggressively and letting them go Scott free. NASCAR allowing them to escape from the confines of probation (you know, the confines that have yet to amount to ANY other sanctions) before the chase/season ends really seems like a ploy to spark rivalry talk to keep the fans of the bottom 37 drivers watching what happens the rest of the season.

Neither driver should have been punished for their actions.Busch got the ultimate embarrasment in front 160,000 plus die-hard fans and he'd pay any price to get that moment back. He'd rethink the whole damn thing before he'd try it again. He wonders why fans hate him the way they do.He was trying to hold a position that he knew he could not hold,so he got nudged out of the way and thats NASCAR racing...shit or get off of the pot.Thats the way it's done.If Busch don't like it Joe Gibbs needs to get another driver that can RACE and not get mad because he gets tapped out of the way.Earndhart used to say "Move over or get runned over."

One must be devoid of any capacity for thought if they avidly follow NASCAR. That is why NASCAR is the domain of only the most severely inbred sector of our population. If these savages weren't driving around in circles in "souped-up" Monte Carlos, they be in prison receiving anal injections from the Black Panthers. My, how the South has progressed!

My, my, what a tasteful writer you are. As usual your ISP location tells the story of some sorry ass that couldn't handle living north of the Mason-Dixie but still wanting to whine about the South he decided to move to. Here's an idea from a redneck, take your dumbass back Islip and make everyone happy.

Exactly..

What Carl did to Kyle during the race was perfectly legal.(Personally, I thought it was great racing) It was bump and T-bone after the checkered flag that got them in hot-water with NASCAR...
