Zegowitz spent most of his career training at Charles Town in West Virginia. From 489 career starters, he had 43 wins and his starters earned $789,054. He won three of 67 starts in 2007 and was winless in four stakes races lifetime..........

What else can happen to make the world of horse racing seem even more despicable, sleazy, greed driven, animal abusing poor excuse for a so called 'sport' for human entertainment? How low will horse racing go before enough is enough.

Could the reason be the ban on steroids?

I wonder just WHAT made this jagoff feel his house of cards was falling in so he had to take someone's life? Or did she shoot him? Bad mix anyway. Old MF with a teenybopper. Going thru his life change messing aroung with someone so young. People like that make me puke. Here she was about half his age. Disgusting. Penn sucks too. Those MFs are shady there. Once a poll was put on PACE asking who thought things were crooked and at what track. Penn was number one until the thread was taken down. Last year they had several $35,000 tri's. Looked like pure horseshiat. I got so good capping that track at the end of the meet just tossing Otero on a favorite. I can't stand that sob.

I know Zegowitz personally and know that he had in the past tried to commit suicide with an O/D. Also over a young girl who had left him. I never knew him to be violent in any way. Maybe gullible when it came to women. Always fell deep and hard......

He probably had a chemical imbalance and was not getting any meds for himself. There are alot of women out there he could of played daddy war bucks with. This young women was in way over her head and probably did not know what he was capable of. I work for some wealthy people and also for corporations. I have seen the old farts playing around with young little girls that are way down at the bottom and just starting out. I also realize that a peice of azz is maybe all they got gifted with. So i do not pay any attention. It is sad. Men who do not want an equal in age or experience are pathetic. Usually they just use the young person and fill their heads full of lies. All along they got wives and kids in college the same age. Of course on the flip side i have seen plenty of young hoes get flirty and flip the top ect to play around with an old fool. They think they will OWN the house they drove by. What they do not realize is money brings lawyers who protect assets for both partys. That of course is the wife who could take the old fool to the cleaners and shove him out the door with a shoe up his azz. So did this guy have a wife?

Gloria must have been Screwed over by an old guy. But anyway, I knew Ray and I know many details about his relationship with Bixa. They were together for five months and when he first met her, she was living in a tiny roach infested apartment. He moved her into the quiet townhouse community where this sad event took place. Just three weeks after he moved in with her, she dumped him after he put up two months rent for her. When they argued, she was the aggressor by yelling at him and hitting him. It went from love to deep hatred. The police reported a struggle took place before shots were fired. I am not supporting in any way what he did, because there are always options. I feel bad for the children who have to live their lives without a mother and the families of both Ray and Khrystina. I will miss Ray for the rest of my life.
In closing, I want everyone to know that Khrystina may have been the victim, but she was no angel. She had two kids by two different guys. She was one of seven kids from SEVEN different men. Good job to her mother, I see she couldn't get along with men either.

And you are an idiot to blast Gloria then spill the whole ugly story online & expect us to feel sorry for this guy. Are you also involved in the racing industry? What a bunch of sleazy, fuc*** up people with not an ounce of ethics in treating animals or humans. I wouldn't care if every owner & trainer, along with their wives, young gold digger girlfriends & mistresses blew each other's brains out. Maybe then they'd quit over breeding, euthanizing & slaughtering all their irresponsible 'mistakes' when the racehorse either breaksdown on the track and has to be euthanized, or loses races and is sent to slaughter by the 'caring owners'.

Also, just because a woman is 'no angel' doesn't give some race horsing tool the right to kill her. But like I said, maybe the whole mess of them are being weeded out for a reason. Alot has been exposed because of 8 Belles' death, trainers are being held accountable for the over dosing and abuses of the horse they push to the brink.

Wipe em all out and leave the remaing horses alone for rescue groups to take care of. Then because they are so damn greedy, it should be against the law for them to breed and dump the animals. It's a viscious cycle of racehorses careers & lives cut short for short term monetary gain. Then it's on to breed more racehorses only to dump them at a Mexican slaughter house to bleed every last dime from the animal.

I could keep going with the negative stories but I understand abuse & profit driven animal exploitation when I see it. Retire more, oh what a laugh. Even Jess Jackson the majority owner of Curlin 2007 Horse of the Year spoke at Congress hearing and said Horse Racing's original model is broken. He said many negative things including today's owners race to breed, not breed to race. With over 60 years as a prominent figure is racing, I tend to belive it when he says they are motivated,(breeders) to breed the horses with small legs too fragile for their upper torso for a short term career & early death. That's the ultimate in greedy profiteering off the backs of these innocent creatures that I've ever heard of. Except maybe dog fighting which is illegal. Horse racing should be banned period.

Are you a mouthpiece for the horse racing industry? You are a stain, a mealy mouthed cry baby trying to justify the infectious human waste (owners, trainers, breeders) who make of this filthy greedy profit druiven industry. The US has too many 'unwanted' racehorses that are slaughtered by the thousands because of irresponsible breeders. Until the slaughters & euthanasias on the track due to racehorses breaking down ends I reserve ANY SYMPATHY NOT FOR A SUICIDAL MURDERING MANIAC, but the defenseless horses who are voiceless victims & earn ALL THE MONEY FOR THESE ANIMAL ABUSING SCUMBAGS.

Nope never been screwed over by an older guy. Or any guy. I have been married to the same man and business partner for nearly 30 years. I have more brains than to be involved with some old azzhole trying to relive his youth. Take my advise young women out there, find your equal. Do not get involved with this type of crackpot. And men, find a decent women. Not somebody with issues who have such low self esteem they get passed around. It's becoming pretty clear these two were a mismatch. If you are in a mismatch just get out before someone gets hurt or ends up doing time for assult. Im pretty old fashioned. It has worked for my husband and I. Some of the couples i know get involved way too fast and end up in nasty breakups. This is a sad story. Maybe the women never learned with her past mistakes and kept getting with the same type of person. People never get it right until they realize what they do time and time again. Today i spoke with a 3 time loser who finally has gotten it RIGHT. Got a women very different from the ones in his past and is finally happy and stress free.

Hi Nicole, Your right she is wrong to blast me. I always had self respect and values. It paid off. I have been married for 30 years to the same man. In going around a track lately what i see is alot of substance abuse and drunks. Not a wholesome enviroment. More like a bunch of carneys. Casinos taking the paychecks after hours as they slosh them down. It looks like a fast lifestyle. One with no substance and no future unless the person is at the top of the food chain. Alot of illegals also i hear.

I agree with you 100%. Did you read where this trainer made over $700,000. Now why would he live in an apartment with some young girl? Just where did all that money go? These people are starting to sound NUTS to me.

I thought someone said she had seven kids by seven different guys. I reread that post. It is only two kids by different fathers. She sounds like she was the typical victim of a suger daddy type. Prey on somebody poor and young with mouths to feed. Body type small and girlish. Easy to intimidate. She thinks she is getting a good ride to a better life and gets sucked right in. This woman was more a victim than him. She got herself into bad circumstances from the get go. She should of went to a shelter and told him to cram that place right up his poopshoot. You can always replace things. You can not replace your life.

No Gloria I didn't read he made $700,000. It does make me wonder why he lived that way too. Most people never see that kind of money, yet how can someone be happy when they are probably involved in the dark aspects of horse racing. Most of them know it's wrong to kill young helathy horses, or racing them too young & not letting the horses mature in strength. By instinct I believe leading a dishonest life abusing innocent animals, possibly drugging, beating, sending them to slaughter, or just being around that environment of having to hide so much of what's part of your livelihood takes it's toll. and with all these dirty secrets finally being exposed, it won't get any better for the horses until these people are severly punished with more than a 15 day suspension like dutrow. He's been there & done that so many times, it doesn't faze him. They should ban him from KY races for starters to send a real message of no tolerance for drugging & abuse.

Gloria, I apologize for blasting you earlier. It just seemed like you just hated men. I agree that Ray needed someone older at least age 30 or older.
Nicole, horseracing is a business. These trainers do whatever it takes to get their horse in that winners circle. They get paid up to 6th place and sometimes they run horses when they're not ready just to try to pick up a check to cover expenses. Some say it's inhumane, but I know for a fact that Ray loved horses and he loved to take care of them. He would never run a horse unless he was sound.
Ray made a lot of money training horses, and at one time at Charles Town he trained 25 horses. The $700,000 he had made in earnings went to the owner of the horses that he was training. The owner paid him well, but his lifelong downfall was gambling. When he met Chrissy he had stopped gambling and was finally getting his life back together....

Good points. I think your right about these people getting hardened to their actions. Becomes normal routine. How things are done. Thats why alot of them are so mad. They do not see anything wrong. I think in the last 25 years they have messed the breeding up big time. How long is it going to be before the Hunter Jumper classes start seeing broken legs as a normal routine? These horses they have would be better off if some wise azz just used the papers off a Thoughbred Inbred and bred them to a decent grade horse. The gene pool is going to have all the same genetics on both sides if they keep it up. I wonder what the papers looked like on the actor Reeves horse? Probably another junk overpriced horse.

Nope, i do not hate men. The whole thing makes me angry thinking about this chic who has two kids and gets sucked into this relationship way to fast. After only five months she is being buried. She was way to young to be leaving this earth. I have seen other people who think age does not matter. Well i think it does. Someone that old messing around with someone that young has some serious problems. Or else the IQ never grew past a certain age. So they have to cherry pick. I know this if i would of met her i would of told her straight up he was a bad choice. By the time the kids were ready to graduate she would be changing his depends and empting his bed pans. If i was not straight up i would of just talked her into a few hours of volunteer time at a nursing home. Then i would explain how the home takes all assets before somebody old gets put in. One call to a nursing home with the simple question "how much for a month of care?" would make most people run for the hills. Everybody is so afraid of offending others that everybody looks the other way and then things happen and everybody KNEW it was going too. I just have no respect for old fools and think they are pervs. I had one try and take me on a trip and get involved with me when i was young. He got told and i quit his employ the next day. I did not care how much money he had. The minute he came on to me i lost any respect i had for him. I got mad. Not flattered. Pist. So this story kind of made me think back to that incident. Im glad i did not take that trip. This women would of been better off in her slum apt and staying independant. I think she was fooled at first that he was a different type of person. For all i know he never told her he expected a relationship. Just that he was helping her out. Like a mentoring type of relationship. I quess you know more as you knew them both. I do wonder if he was drunk or just an emotional train wreck looking for a victim?
