just for the record i think there is a lot bigger shot of the evil one ending up with The Vikes than people think.....the commish is pushing GB to make a move..GB flat out states thay have moved on and hes not wanted...if he holds his mud and refuses trades to any other team the cheese heads are screwed...he can give them three options. 1 the starting job in GB..aint hap'nen...thats a dead horse. 2 they trade him to the team of his choice..... would Chilly give up a #2 upgraded to a #1? thats more than GB will get anywhere elce but the GB fans would probably lynch Thompson...3 they can just let him go free...i hear what you're saying, thats crazy, why the hell would they do that? simple. if the trade him to the Queens the fans go crazy and blame Thompson and the coach.... if the release him and he runs strieght to the Queens well he shows everyone just what a stinking trader he is.that way he's the one who looks bad, and the GB brain trust (boy thats an oxy moron if there ever was one) claim thier hands were tied...anyway it sure has been a great topic the last few weeks and i'm truely enjoying GBs pain ...GO QUEENS

I still have a hard time imagining Brett in purple, but he wants it, and he wants it bad.
The depth of the hate he has for Thompson must be monumental for him to use his yellow and green phone to call the Vikings begging for a job.
Only the toughest gb eggs out there can look at this situation and spin it in a positive light. There simply is no good solution for this situation that hatched in GB and fed by TT.
Keep enjoying last years success cheddar heads, the days are numbered. Your 2007 record will make this years tumble all that much more entertaining.

There's an article in the Green bay press gazette that now says the report of Favre using a Packers paid cell phone is not true. It was confirmed by someone in the NFL and someone in the Packers organization. So it now sounds more and more like TT trying to make Bret as the bad guy, since he is making TT sound like the bad guy. The new title of this whole thing should be "As the Favre/Pack Saga Turns", this is a great soap opera that the Pack is going through, being enjoyed by this Vikes fan. Just hope the media quits asking the Vikes players about it and let them get to work.

Jackson will be fine this year and we go to the playoffs. The first two games should be an indicator. Why not 2-0? Put BF in the rear view mirror.

I wish Pat hadn't said that, or anything, about Favre. It's just more ammunition for the Tampering charges coming from Packerstan. Still, I think we're going to get lucky on this one. How can Favre phoning Chilly be evidence of anything? What's Chilly supposed to do if he doesn't have caller ID on his phone? We're going to beat this rap.

This is so fantastic. The Packers have a truly out of the this world distraction for the team and their in-bred fans. The Vikings are so much improved that they will walk away with the division title. And Favre is being seen as a self-centered attention seeking waffling baby.

Good times. Good times.

Hey Dan, there is another option for the Packers. Doing nothing. Just let Favre whine and belly-ache all he wants. He's under contract. He can't do anything without Thompson giving the green light so he's going nowhere. And Thompson will NEVER give in the Favre now. He has an ego too you know. Favre can just sit and stink on his farm all season.

This is almost as embarrssing to the Packers as the Love boat for the Tice-Vikes.

Alright Big Pat. Thats what I like to hear-its a Packer problem let them deal with it. Why do we as Viking fans need to hear about the cry baby Butt Farve, we have a team that we want to hear about. Sure the NFL would love to make Farve a Viking but I hope it doesn't happen. He acts as though he's never gotten counseling on his drug addiction behaviors, we don't need that instability on our team. Tavaris had 3 receivers that were new to the team last year, oh yeah and Troy Williamson. His leaving will increase Tavaris' completion % by 10% easy.

Fun to watch The Packtriots flushing themselves down the can. More than makes-up for all of that "Love Boat" crap MN fans have been hearing from Pucker fans for how long. They ALWAYS seem to hang on the past. Over a decade ago SBs, Vikes PAST unlawfullness, LAST years' record, Etc. etc.
Thanks to their big mouths, even Bear & Lion fans can enjoy watching GB dangling in the wind.

Here's the problem with the Packers from last year, and even this year, their record is decieving as they play in a weak division, so any improvement would show up huge. Most of the teams they played last year were sub-500 teams, and when they played better teams they lost. I think it is time to let Farve go in the sunset, and managemnent is handling the situation well. Yes Farve is a god, and rightfully so. However, the team cannot take a chance on brining him in and starting him, and take a chance that he may have a change of heart mid-way through the season. having him as a back-up, well he wouldn't do it, plus it would be a problem for Aaron Rogers, always having Farve looking over his shoulders, the fans calling for Farve after a bad serires, it would bring to much disruption to the team. It is time, just as the cowboys had to decide to let E. Smith go, Farve needs to move on, so the Packers can move on.

So. Jackson has worked hard to improve his timing with receivers during the offseason. And how did he manage to do that? Did the whole team get together in his back yard and run simulations? I really doubt it.
OK, so Jackson was inexperienced last year and that's why he soiled his pants whenever he was pressured. So why did he sit out the offseason last year then? If experience is everything, why didn't he get it?
It's nice that the Vikings players are standing behind Jackson, but this is clearly just propaganda. We won't know if Jackson is any better until September, and don't let anyone lead you to believe otherwise.

Glad to see they put him in a throwback jersey, cause 3 years ago it might have been worth it - not any more. Of course with the O-line we had in 2005, he'd probably would have ended up in a wheelchair.

Honestly, I don't care about Brett Favre coming to Minnesota. Right now I want to know how Childress is planning to eliminate those 8 man fronts we were always up against.

Find plays to have both Peterson and Chester in the backfield, and let the running game set up the passing one. The Giants did it last season in the playoffs, and we all say how well that worked for them. Why can't we do the same, Chilly? Make it happen.

the best way to open your running game is let TJ pass, and hope he is successful.
Heck if T.Jackson ends up being abit above average as a passing qb,you will have a great offense with alot of scoring,,and if T.Jackson has a good year passing, you guys will be downright dangerous offensively, its just a matter of stopping the passs,as your run defense is great as is.

Yes, work on what we already have and forget Favre. It's sad when the whole NFL is caught up in this crap. Hopefully we'll see more screen passes to Peterson and see what he can do in the open field, or at the very least use him more as a decoy on screens to open things up. He'll have the attention of at least two defenders each time. If what they say about T-Jax is accurate in that he really improved, he'll be able to handle a little creativity to the offense and actually find the open player.
