Horrible, Horrible, Horrible, call on the squib kick. The Defense was horrible and the special teams were horrible. The Bears almost stole this one, but that damn squib kick....... i will never understand that call....

Man, just another swift kick in the gut to Chicago sports fans. Hey, at least you have the nice winter weather to look forward to!

Embarrassing loss. Ryan is a rookie QB, but he looked like Tom Brady against the Bears. Thankfully ATL has no playmakers, otherwise this would have been a blowout because ATL could not punch it in the end zone. The squib kick was an idiotic play call. I knew as soon as they did that, ATL would kick a FG to win. This so called "defense" we have is a joke. They gave up 10 points at the most critical point in the game...and it would have been 13 if Elam had not missed the first FG. They should be ashamed of themselves.
Oh and Tommie Harris...quit your crying and just hold on to the fumble. What a moronic play. The "d" got no pressure on Ryan. I can't say enough bad things about this game. I feel sick.

Orton proved himself...that's the plus.
Our Defense proved something again...that when our starting corners are out...we are vulnerable. That pass should have never happened. This one hurt!!!

Why was no time run off the clock on the kickoff? The Bears scored with 11 seconds left and Atlanta got the ball after the kickoff with eleven seconds left.

The squib kick was not the problem. How does the secondary let a guy get open deep along the sideline with only seconds left? Once again the defense blew the game.

Why the short kick? Kick it deep and we win. Lovie must go!!!!!

I didn't get the game on TV, so had to pay attention on internet. How in the world do you return a kickoff 10 yards, complete a 26-yard pass AND kick a field goal -- all in 11 seconds??? I suspect some help from a friendly hometown timekeeper.

That pass should have never taken place because the squib kick should have been a deep kick, which would have used up all of about a second or two. I'm sick.

Fire Lovie... that's enough of his mismanagement! Don't really care if its him or his staff. Either way, he is responsible. Hire a coach that WANTS to win!

What is really going on with the Bears defense? I'm surprised the game was as close as it was. But there is no reason why the Bears should've won that game.....

Did anyone DVR the game (mine cut out before the end) and if so, can you check the last 11 second runoff?

I agree. I don't understand the squib kick either. One question: The Bears scored with 11 seconds left, then kicked the extra point. When we kicked off, there were still 11 seconds left on the clock. Shouldn't the extra point have taken at least 1 second off the clock or does the clock not run on extra points? One second would have been all the difference.

agree on the squib, but it's clear out Bears don't practice situational defense. How do you let a receiver have a free run at the sidelines? Bad coaching in my opinion...you drill that sort of stuff into the heads of the players before they take the field in that situation and it appears the Bears we celebrating and not preparing to keep the falcons from scoring....rather disappointing if you ask me...

Well, the Falcons tried their best to give the Bears the game but, ultimately, the Bears would have none of that.
Failing to score, on 4th & goal, came back to bite them in the rear end.
Also, perhaps the Bears would have benefited from squib-kicking the ball further, than they did, to eat up more time.
This was a game the Bears should have won. That's three of those, so far.

not going for 3 on 4th, def not prepared for game, Briggs urlacher MIA. Tommy Harris on commune with God. All reasons for the loss. Looks like we have the wrong coach smith. Only half bright spot is Orton though of course in a loss.

Babich has to go ... and I mean NOW !!! And to think, we basically fired Ron Rivera to hire Lovie's good friend. How did that one work out Lovie! Thanks

For some reason we ran the much maligned cover 2 in that situation, and they simply ran a corner route to the "window" in between our safety and corner. Why we continue to run this defense is beyond me.
