2 What lies did George W. Bush tell that got us into this economic mess? I'd love to know. I think it had more to do with changes in risk modeling that Democrats in congress forced upon the mortgage and banking industry during the Clinton years, than anything else. During the Clinton years, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were required to issue loans and mortgages to people who could not possibly afford to pay them back. Banks were pressured to follow the example of these two quasi-independent mortgage giants. Upon the insistence of Chris Dodd, the top Democrat on the Senate Banking Committee, and Barney Frank, the top Democrat on the House Financial Services Committee, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were required to issue more than 30 percent of their mortgages to people below a certain income. A few years later, the requirement was raised to more than 50 percent. And it wasn't long after that that Food Stamps and other government subsidies were required to be considered "income" on mortgage applications. Approximately 3 million defaulted loans are from illegal aliens who simply skipped back to Mexico when the housing stars, stopped--and they became unemployed. All of these changes were the work of Democrats, against vocal GOP opposition. Bush called for reforms in Fannie Mae 17 times in 2008 alone http://gatewaypundit.firstthings.com/2008/09/... I'm sorry--what were you saying about George Bush's lies that got us into this economic mess? |

2 That the economic mess happened on his watch. Oh yeah, let us also not forget that he put us into not one, but two, wars for which we had no business being involved with in the first place using a hidden agenda. But I digress ... In reality, I could care less about what you say. As long as it pissed you off, my mission was accomplished. Have a nice day. |

2 How about all that gas they use driving cars at 20 MPH below the speed limit, thereby causing traffic jams in Grove City, car accidents and a general sense of frustration. Or better yet, how about all those meals I see them eating out at the hordes of Grove City resturants? Surely, one night a month out of 10 would suffice. Me? I'm getting hit with a $542 increase in my property taxes, which will impact my $103,000 annual salary. But truth be told, I'll take that over a $25,000 erosion in my property value anyday. You see, it's about the ENTIRE community, not a narrowly-focused group who feel it is their divine right to bitch-and-complain because they are old. And while I will be there one day, I doubt I'll be as obtuse as today's old folks. |

1 I can see your parents didn't teach you any respect so you must be a school teacher and that is way the kids are like that today. Sounds like you must have been dropped on your head while you were being born. If not your parents should have taken a ball bat to your a_____. |

1 Nope, but thanks for playing: 3.64 GPA from a major East Coast college. Six-figure sales executive with an international company. Proud father of three kids in this school district with straight A's. More respect for respectable people than you'll ever know Oh yeah, I forgot. A penchant for taking people to task for idiotic statements. Like yours, for instance. You have a nice day. |

1 And one other thing: The older folks in this community seem to be a highly-opinionated bunch that shows little respect for the community in which they live. If they did, and they were so all-knowing, then they would realize that EVERYONE must sacrifice a little, not just them. See you at the next school board meeting. |

1 Blame Clinton. How many jobs went over sea's during his watch. All he did was chase young girls around the White House. He left a mess for Bush. This is even going to be a bigger mess when Obama becomes unemployed. |
