This team is only gonna get better. Their hustle is fantastic and the "d" needs another couple of games to be as solid as bragged about. But in 2 weeks this team will be something else. I loved when weiss said after the game.... we got our booties kicked after the 2nd period. Thats something we never heard with Martin behind the bench. Keep it up guys well be cheering on thursday

Panthers defenseman Bryan McCabe was diagnosed with a back contusion and strained lower back after an MRI exam on Saturday. McCabe suffered the injury in Florida's 6-4 season-opening loss to Carolina on Friday, after taking a hit along the boards in the second period. The exam ruled out much more serious conditions like fractured vertebrae, and McCabe is expected to miss at least two weeks..

I notice the defense is now jumping in on the offense alot, which you did not see last year. But the defense is still horrible in it's own zone. Chaos and mayhem in front of their own goalie. They seem to be chasing the puck there instead of puck control.

I expected more from my Panthers.
Atlanta is not a very good team, and they almost beat us.
I was wrong about our defense, it gives up too many goals.
Maybe we will contiue to re build and next season we will be in the playoffs.
I do like the Cow bells, and they gave them out at the game. I now have my own Cow bell.
Go Panthers.

It looked like the old Panthers to us You "Obviously" were not at the game last night. This team is NOTHING like what hit the ice last year. I can not even count how many passes the Panthers defence blocked. The forecheck was everywhere. During the third period there was about 5 minutes when the Thashers were unable to do anything but just dump the puck out each time they touched it - on even strength! OH! And one of the all time best hip checks I have ever seen! I have to find a clip of it.

If you like hockey, then you liked last night's game against the Thrashers. This was an up tempo exciting hard hitting game that had it all. And the Panthers held up in the 3rd period and in OT, something they did not do last season. Yes, this was a great game. I was glad to be at the BAC watching the Panthers win the game. As I said before, this is going to be an exciting season.
