You always come up with "if this or if that" for the Yanks...but the reality is Wang didn't win 20 games this year, Dice-K did win 18 games this year, the Yanks are raking leaves right now and the Red Sox are into the ALCS. Oh, and let me remind you, the Yanks lost last year, and even if you say if there were no bugs, they would have won...reality is they lost. No "if's, and's or butt's" about it. You lose! Thanks for saying go Devil Rays...that's the team that took the place of the Yanks...they're better than the Yanks...and by the way Mrs. know-it-all...they're the RAYS. As a Skyank fan, it must be killing you that two teams from the AL East in still alive and that the manager the Skyanks felt wasn't good enough is in the playoffs. LOL!!!!
hey pec/ker breath,I hope the RAYS send the redsox home, and if you don't win it all,it means nothing moron.

<quoted text>Not to me it don't..I've seen the Yanks win the WS 6 times..and it sticks with you forever..no team is gonna win it every year..and theres alot of MLB teams wish it was only 8 years ago since they last one..sh-it Rangers only won once in the last what 75 years..I'll bet you'll never forget hearing Gary Thorne yell out in '94 "the curse is over"
Same here Paul. I also saw the team rebuild for about a decade and a half from 82-95 and finally I saw the yankees bring up great players in the mid 90's and win and create a dynasty. That's why it sticks with us yankee fans because we saw the yankees lose for many years and then win.

I love Torre...but he is an average manager at best..
Any monkey trained to fill out a lineup card could have won with the Yankees.
So, are you saying you could do it as well as Torre? Aren't you full of yourself!!!! Let's ask Jeter if he agrees.

Obviously this forum is filled with those who profess to love the Yankees but all they seem to do is bash them.

That's the big difference Paul-the Yanks have the best owner in all of sports and the team will again be competitive real soon. If they get CC and Tex, I'd even be happy with Lowe. He'll give a lot of innings and is never hurt! It's going to be a very interesting off season! Fasten your seat belt!

Let me see, they won it all when, my that was 10yrs ago. Someone is not doing their home work. It`s a toss-up with me, rather I would like to see Joe Torre and the Dodgers win it all(cause he got a bad deal from his former boss) or the much hated Boston Red Sox. Could you amagine how the Yankee brass would feel if the Sox won three World Series in one decade!!

Yankee fans should be rooting for a
Rays/Phillies World Series with the Phillies winning it all. As a Yankee fan I am tired of hearing about Joe Torre this and Joe Torre that. Who cares about him? I don't get why any Yankee fan would care about him now. He was the Yankee manager for 12 years and it was time for a change. He looked like he was disinterested and almost sleepy managing the Yankees the last few years. He was never a great strategic manager. During the Yankee championship seasons Don Zimmer was sitting right next to him whispering in his ear and giving him advice. The fact that Met fans hate the Phillies and don't want them to go to the World Series is enough of a reason for all Yankee fans to root for the Phillies to win it all.
As a Yankee/new york fan, I cannot root for any phili team. I am hoping for a tampa / LA series. If it's a phili/ boston series I don't know who I would root for. I think it was time for a change with Joe Torre, he did a good job.

Oh there's bound to be more big names besides CC, Tex, and Lowe out there this offseason. Hank should pile on as many superstars he can find and then the Yankees should have no problem winning a World Series.

Oh nevermind, my bad.

not at all,the deadsox are going down as your garbage pitching is getting pounded by the rays, beckett and lester got lit up like a christmas tree,it is good to see the rays proving to the whiners that payroll means nothing,it will the be the Yankees and rays battling next year as the sux without manny will be in fourth next year and years to come,my team has been in the playoffs 14 years in a row,so it is no big deal, after your sux lose it will only be 2 rings in 5 years, the deadsox will never be the Jeter led 4 in 5 years Yankees so give up your dreams of delusion, and I wanted Torre to win even though he was the one that walked, but it will not happen as it will be rays against phillies!

Face it the red sox are not the same team without manny. The proof is in big papi. Ortiz has not hit the same ever since manny left, just look at his numbers so far in this postseason, he does not even have a hit in the ALCS. Sox are done for, its amazing to me how they even won the Wild Card...
