Cabrera hits 2 homers in Tigers' win over Indians

DETROIT: Miguel Cabrera hit two home runs, Marcus Thames had one and Justin Verlander was dominant after a shaky start, lifting the Detroit Tigers to a 9-2 win over the Cleveland Indians tonight.

Good thing we got rid of CC when we did...this would have been his 12th game of the year where he only received two runs or less from his offense.

Meanwhile, LaPorta's AA start was rained out, and CC was busy getting the win for...not the Indians. Good thing we got "something" out of him, right?

CC was a "lazy ace", anyway. I hope he gets his money and the team who gives it to him suffers when he breaks down before his long-term contract is over. This is one of the many reasons why baseball sucks - guaranteed contracts. The same with basketball - guaranteed contracts. The only sport that does NOT have guaranteed contracts - football. In the NFL, the only thing guaranteed is the signing bonus. When you are cut in the NFL, so is your contract. Bring on the true fan sport - NFL football. GO BROWNS!!!!!!!
