Nick Saban = Mealy Mouthed C##K S###ER.

I'd like to punch him right in his lying pie hole and stomp his worthless guts out.
Yep...That'd make me happy.

I don't know what the problem is Nick, I'm sure sooner or later you'll realize all you have to do is trade jobs with your assistant during the spring, then you'll be the assistant and can make contact with all the players you want to. Comes the end of spring football, you trade back. Simple as that :-).

Please dont ever again mention that piece of sh*t Sabans name in the same breath as the great Schnellenberger. Howard is ultimate gentleman, and class personified, Saban is a lying, cheating, conniving, wh*re.

Funny how there are stories of Bellichek and $aban involving cheating on the same day. These 2 scumbags go back a long way together.

I bet the rule started because Saban was lying his butt off to these high school kids. He probably promises every kid the world and then just leaves most of them hanging. The next "Saban Rule" should be no lying to poor high school kids.

Sounds like someone is just jealous that Bama and Florida get all the best recruits...

It is ok, because next year they will introduce the Saban/Meyer rule 2.0, to counter video messaging, text messaging, and whatever new way around it they come up with. They are both scumbags well known for their cheating ways and dirty tactics.

What does it say about these guys character and morals? looking for ways around the rules? ISn't that a nice way of saying I'm looking for ways to cheat? If I were the NCAA i would be watching these guys like a hawk and pounce on them if they even "bend" the rule. What other fecet of life can you admit to trying to skirt the rules and not have some kind of reprocussion? I don't get it. If you don't trust your assistants, then why keep them? I know FSU had some bum assistants in there for awhile and it cost us lots of recruits. So tired of hearing about these coaches complain about recruiting. Obviosuly they need to do more recruiting of character instead of ability and the number of felons on any given team would drop.

I didn't single out any program. I only threw stones at cheating coaches. I didn't say anything about players other than any school that recruits talent over character will have a problem. That goes for Boise State, UM, New Mexico State, whoever. A gator telling me not throw stones should just eat that comment. Its no secret Meyer and Saban bend the rules anyway possible to get a recruit. I'm sure FSU does some shady things, but naming rules after a coach is a pretty big red flag that they have every intention of bending the rules, especially when they admit to it at a press conference or interview. FSU doesn't have a problem with this rule b/c Bobby doesn't recruit that much in the spring anyway. His assistants are all over the state doing the recruiting like its been for 10 years. He is too busy doing fundraisers and tours to visit recruits.

It appears that many or all of you posting have never coached a down or recruited a player. Saban and Meyer understand that college football is big business and they are highly paid for what they do, fired in a heartbeat at schools like Ala and Fl. for an 8-3 season because of alumni who can't fathom dealing with that type of success. It is the NCAA that speaks with the forked tongue, always has when it comes to amateurism vs the reality of college big time athletics. So if it is OK for the assistants to hit the road why not the Head guy as well. That is utterly ridiculous. As for the rules, every coach if allowable will interpret the rule to their advantage considering the stakes, Saban and Meyer have the courage, yes courage to call it as it is laid out. Video conference and such is currently allowable, email currently allowable, text messaging has been taken off the table, suggest you all need to review the rules here. Coaches want every available advantage, however all schools are not equal because of budget constraints. The system of recruiting surely needs an overhaul however to do so would be admission of how unequal it is in the first place among the have and have nots, see the BCS folly every year when an upstart non BCS school runs the table and tries to qualify for the big money game.

dont bash snelly hes the reason college football is big in Fla to begin with...he won the first national title for the state of Florida when he was at the U...oh and fyi i think he still has the same number of national titles under his belt as Urban and saban...i must say the way he won it was far more impressive...taking a no name school with little history of winning to the title...now thats coaching...He is the roots and reason that miami is at the Top of the Big 3 in Fla...gators and noles shut it until you win your 5th title...college football needs more snellys in it...a guy that coaches, follows the rules, and loves the game...not the sabans and meyers of the world who break rules setting poor examples for kids and then use and abuse the kids to stroke their egos...

"The Birmingham News reported Saban is already coming up with ways of getting around the rule, recently videoconferencing with a recruit on a high school campus, legal under the current legislation."

How the heck are high schools linked up to videoconference tools?

Just unbeleivable that this guy Satan doesn't even wait for the rule to kick in before he finds a loophole...

Of course FSU doesn't have a problem with the rule because Jimbo can still make the contact.
