Oh that sucks so bad, I know we need relievers, but PUDGE!!!!!????? I'm so sad!!!! He won't even look right in a Yankees uniform. I wish I could ring Dombrowski's neck.

I no longer follow baseball too closely, but I just have to ask WHAT IN THE NAME OF SANITY AND COMMON SENSE is going on down in Detroit? Are they bound and determined to be losers? Must be that the Mayor is now running the team. Now I know why I don't follow the game that close. They really don't want to be winners. Nice going.

this really sucks because they got crap for a hall of fame catcher and great clubhouse guy. There was a good reason we got rid of Farnsworth before, "he sucks"

I give up Pudge and get Farnsworth in return? Thanks Dave Dombrowski. You've made a lot of great deals, but this one was stupid. What has Farnsworth done in his life? Oh and now I get to play Inge and his .230 average and subpar defensive skills everyday. That's brilliant!

Just got to my parents home and they brought up the Pudge article on the computer. What the heck is going on in the world of baseball? I just started to watch the Tigers again since I am from the Al Kaline, Norm Cash, Jake Wood, Rocky Colovito, and Bill Freehan Era. So now I am supposed to watch this new team minus one of the true tigers. He has given so much and now we have kicked him to the curb. I hope that he will find true happiness in N.Y., because he has given us so much.

I guess we can hope Pudge resigns with us next year. Farnsworth did not want to play in Detroit before what makes you think he has changed his mind?

I'll miss Pudge. I liked him so much and he was so good. He was such a permanent fixture in the Detroit ball club. I love Detroit Tigers and it just won't be the same. Good luck Pudge!

Finally, the Tigers will have a pitcher who can actually pitch. I hate to see Farnsworth leave New York, but with Posada out for the season, It will be a welcome to have another great catcher behind the plate for the Yankees.

Give me a break. Yeah, I'm sure he is really feeling the pinch. sheesh people...com'on. The obvious problems are in the relief pitcher bullpen. I think this trade makes perfect sense. Tigers are not out of the running for this years playoffs but the closers have been costing em too many important losses.

Just the fact that the guy above me called it the "relief pitcher bullpen" shows that he doesn't know what he's talking about.

Are you screwed up or something? Inge is one of the best defensive players the Tigers have.
Maybe you should watch a game sometime.

Maybe you should watch a game.....he's a great defender at third base. Not at catcher. Are you trying to tell me he is a better catcher than Pudge? Come on dude. Bottom line, whether he plays catcher, third base, or sells popcorn in the stands, he still hits .230.

Rodriguez will be remembered in Detroit for being the star who sparked the franchise's turnaround when nobody wanted to be a Tiger -- at any price.

This says it all to me. I'm very disappointed. And son will be also.

I don't believe it! I'm shocked.. maybe he'll resign with us.. Inge doesn't like catching as much as 3rd base, but I guess we know where he will be playing the rest of the season.
