Evernham Motorsports development driver A.J. Foyt IV might be out of a ride at Braun-Akins Racing, but his mentor, team owner Ray Evernham, hasn't deserted him.

Are you the same Joyce Snow that had a problem with something Richard Petty supposedly said about women in racing. If it concerns you so much Richard may have said he doesn't think women should be in racing why are you so willing to toss Erin Crocker out of her ride? You can't have it both ways. If you want women to be successful in racing, pull for them, encourage them, be a good fan. Don't throw them under the train. |

I do have a problem with Petty knocking all women. He did not
state just nascar drivers he knocks all them. I am at the track every week with nhra and when they don't have a race we are at Irl or nascar tracks....They do have a lot of good women drivers. I think crocker is just a sleeping buddy to you know who...Driving is just a toss in ha ..... |

Any news about Foyt IV, though? I had hoped grandad would give him a ride at the 500 but obviously it didn't happen. Is he going to race or just test drive for the remainder of the season?

you know it seems to me if your not gonna let aj race, and he can only race dodges for the rest of the year, and you wont put him in one Why dont they release him I think this is why you didnt see him in the indy 500 this year. It is a shame you keep this guy on the roofs of these haulers watching these races with a head set on I'm sure if you could ask him he really gets a joy wayching erin run in two divisions and he gets to watch. get your head out of you ass Ray and let the guy Drive!!!!

He's not going to get any better as a driver if he isn't out driving in race conditions. I'm disappointed AJ left open wheel racing but would still like to see him get ahead in auto racing. If they stop letting guys drive in both Busch and Nextel, there will be rides for the next generation of drivers.

PLEASE Put Foyt IV back in a car! I dont care if its ARCA, a Truck, Or Busch Series. Your waisting so much talent! The only problem Foyt has is with his communication skills and I blame his Grandpa Foyt for that. Grandpa Foyt pretty much setup his Indycars for him and all the kid had to do was drive. Evernham, communication is important but can easily be fixed. Get him in a car, please!

Put him in the Road Course at Sonoma or ANY Road Course race where all he pretty much has to do is drive and your asking for an easy Top-20, if not better finish. 21st in Mexico City, the boy can drive.

Any word on when AJ IV will drive again? What is he doing for Evernham since he was let go by Braun Racing? I know he tried to qualify for Fritz Bradshaw racing, didn't qualify, any news?

A J is just like most of Evernham drivers are. They are forgotten. He could really learn a lot if he was given the chance. He could give him part time in the Busch series or the rides in Arca that he gives Erin. I would like to see all his drivers leave before they get to stale or old to drive.

He could give him the #9 in Susch next year or he could go back and race Indy cars for his grandfather.

When I talked to Anthony at Indy in May, he told me he was disappointed he wasn't in a car, and he was hoping he would be in a car for the '07 Indy 500. I hope so because he didn't seem too happy about the whole deal. He seemed a tad dejected.

I don't pay to close of attention to IRL, but I have heard of AJ Foyt IV....He was in the Dukes of Hazzard movie....Stanton Barrett did some stunt driving and Foyt the IV was in a bar fight at the Boar's Nest....pretty cool!
