Karl Benson has done a great job with The WAC, showing endurance and perseverence along the way. The fans in Hawaii and for that matter Fresno, should not forget how the former WAC schools formed the MWC in the middle of the night, leaving the WAC, and the institutions not invited to the new party, in a tough situation. Benson, has done a great job righting the ship. As it is, the "have's" in the WAC particularly in Football, should encourage and help the growth of programs like Idaho, NMSU, etc. with some significant upside. There are quality people trying to advance those programs, and the benefits to all WAC members as a result, is obvious...

Only time will tell; hope none of the universities run out of money by then?
If I were LaTech, I would try to find a conference closer to home.
Hawaii, they have no choice, so I hope they can find donors with deep pockets.

The time for a super conference made of the better WAC and MWC teams should be considered. Two divisions, east and west. Like any business when economic times are difficult, it would be wise that it consolidates and put out its best product.

How do you rate Conference USA, MWC, Sunbelt, and MAC conferences? are these above the WAC? To my recollection none of these conferences have been that competitive over the years. Please provide referrence and link.
