i think kimi's move to ferrari will do some serious damage to his reputation... because the pressure will be on from the first day to achiieve what michael did at ferrari, and i'm afraid that's not possible, michael did it courtesy of having the best car for over 5 years and i'm not sure that they will have this kind of success again... although, at the moment mclaren aren't at there best, i'm sure that in years to come they'll be the team to beat, just as they were in 98-99... so i believe that even with having alonso as a fast team mate to beat, the right choice for him is to stick with mclaren... and by the way he does have enough pace in him to beat the overrated alonso!

Ferrari is not made up of imbiciles. They chase the thinking drivers who have talent and maturity as well as the coooolness under pressure....but fire within to succeed. Kimi is the stand out for sure.
Schumacher has nothing more to prove so it's out with Micheal and in with Kimi. Ferrari will make sure Kimi wins, it will be the perfect slap in the face for the much loved Ron Dennis!

Hi everyone :) Good day,

Kimi is being very cheeky lately. We shall hear very soon what he plans to do, and I believe that he had not signed a concrete drive for Ferrari in 07 and beyond, it was merely a 'waiting list' he signed up for, if things did go ill with McLaren this year or next year.

But Alonso has seen that McLaren will be the best competitive team next year and thats how I feel too. Kimi knows this is a very critical decision and so do his managers, and they will not risk having him wait another 1/2 or even 3 years to become a world champion, no siree bob.

The Dominion of McLaren is rising

Alonso is definitely a overrated driver. He's got the best car while Kimi has the most unreliable one. Let's see Kimi in a Red car from next year. Ferrari is no less team. They already had some bad time and now I hope they bounce back with all the pace. One thing I like about Ferrari or Renault is their reliability over McLaren. You may have a car that's the class of the track... but it needs to be reliable aswell. No wonder Kimi is frustrated with all the failures of his car over the recent years. Be it McLaren or Ferrari, he's the driver to watch.

I agree with Mike, Kimi should stay at McLaren to prove himself with Alonso in the same equipment. Why run away from a straight on head-to-head competition? Doesn't he want to prove that he's better than the much less experience Spaniard? Maybe he knows that he will lose to Alonso & wants to avoid the embarrassment like what Giancarlo has & is going through in Renault? Maybe he knows Ferrari is an easy way out thinking that Michael has reached his peak & is now getting old? I think Kimi's move to Ferrari is because he knows & want to prove to people that he can beat Michael in the same machine... knowing that he can't beat Alonso in McLaren.

Comment to Des:
Im not sure how you think Kimi has more experience than Fernando - Kimi only had 23 races under his belt before moving to F1 - Fernando had plenty more. That said, Im a huge Kimi Raikkonen fan. The man is by far the most talented driver in the field right now. Given a reliable car, Kimi could crush everyone. But also, to rule out Fernando so easily is a mistake. I believe he deserves respect, he is also an amazing driver. I think it would be most entertaining to see Alonso and Raikkonen both driving MP4-22s next year. What a showdown...

Kimi has three options he is to either movet to renault and drive alongside heikki kovalainen or drive for ferrari along side michael shumacher or stay at McClaren

ferrari good points

-unrivalled bridgestone experience
-higkey paid marlboro salary

ferrari bad points

-schumies lap dog?
-todt/brawn future still undecided

renault good points

-unofficial number 1 status
-recent championship momentum

renault bad points

-team are built aroun departing alonso
-pay packet less genorous

McClaren are a very good team but i highly doubt kimi will stay there he is most likely to move to ferrari on a long term deal, McClaren have to many engine failures to sort out this ruins kimis race just like the monaco grand prix which kimi should have won it.

nice to see lots of kimi fans (im 1 too).
I think kimi already wants to leave mclaren-benz, its not working no more and kimi is one hell of a driver hes stone cold hearted... what i´ve listened is that marlboro wants a kimi<>massa association and if schumacher doesn´t leaves ferrari they will have problems.

kimi can surely beat alonso if both are at mclaren next year.but the key thing is thet he should not be given to play the second fiddle to alonso.

I agree that perhaps Kimi has joined hands with Ferrari, but i have also heard that Renault are trying to buy him from Ferrari at a hefty price!!!!!!
