Crean has had a lot of bad luck in his first few years, I happen to think he is a very good coach, "Izzo part 2" in my mind. IU will likely be back if he can secure a few good recruits in the future. UK will be fine but if Cal can't win a championship at UK with the best talent in the country 3 years in a row....... I think eventually the natives will get restless. i concurr with that.

one thing i noticed about that UK / IU game. the officiating was real bad. on both sides of the ball. they dont call up / downs anymore? traveling called on players when it should be a jump ball. both sides taking extra steps and no traveling called. obvious fouls on both sides and no call. palming. etc.... its not just this game or these teams. seems like the rules dont apply anymore. i blame michael jordan. SULKY , I AM IN NO WAY SAYING THAT THE REFS ARE WHY UK LOST SO IF YOU TWIST MY WORDS I AM GOING TO HUNT YOU DOWN AND....... just kidding on the hunt you down part. UK lost cause they got out played, plain and simple. even with the fact that IU had to hit the buzzer shot to win , IU out played UK.

But it does seem like they let a lot of walking go. Lots of guys move their pivot foot, hooking on the baseline, and defenses can be so physical now. I have a friend who is a D1 ref and have gone to games with him, its quite interesting to listen to his commentary about the officials during a game, not usually critical but more explaining how they work in concert. Over all I think its pretty amazing how good they do considering how quick the game moves.

Well, Pitino said he's finished after the 2017 season. Looks like all you UK fans were right when you said he will leave Louisville one day. Now on to the Louisville bowl game. Who's watching it with me?!?!

That was the exact type of game Louisville needed it to be, only problem was they couldn't shoot, pretty much like every other game this season. I would think UK fans would be pretty happy to see their young players play so poised and do all of the hard and dirty work when the offense was not clicking. I love the way MKG plays, he and Davis will be the horses you ride in the spring. I actually enjoyed the game, thought for such a physical game that the refs did a pretty good job and the players all kept their cool, both sides helping one another up etc. I thought the Cats might win by more, good call Devin, who would have thought that a 55% free throw shooter would go 11-12!!

I just wish UofL would have shot a normal percentage game. It would have been much closer, maybe they would have won. They could not hit anything today and many of the missed shots were wide open! IU is looking great though!! Go IU!!! Louisville doesn't deserve the #4 ranking anyway. They will drop down to 10 or 11 and that's probably where they belong after the way they played the last two games.

UL is better then 10 or 11 ; but you are right, they will drop. the great thing is this isnt football. UL will climb right back into the top ten ; long before those invites go out for the big dance.

When I saw that play live it looked like Siva was clearly to the ball first, when shown in replay they both got there at about the same time. I'm not sure how they decide who to call the foul on, really should have been a no call but there was so much contact I guess they felt they needed to call something.

What a douche.
