I can just see it - he's had a long night at the bar - bartender's talking about how cool it was watching that training last week - he staggers out of the bar saying "Lesh jus seee how good they are"

Anyone remember, some 10 years ago... Vehicle traveling too fast along West Cliff Drive. Across from St. Joseph Monastery there's a pocket park, with a rock. Vehicle hits rock, is launched through the air, crosses over the guard rail (without damaging the rail), lands where there used to be a restroom, bounces, lands on the beach sand (fortunately, low tide).

do we WASTE our money helping morons like this? think about ALL the money (in services) this moron is going to receive now, psych evaluation, medical bill, police and paramedics resources... IF this monkey did not want any help, SO BE IT. let him drown and to save even more money, haul his body to the sea... the sharks will be happy.
people like this should not be helped. period. |

OF the many crimes I hope this guy is convicted of, I hope trashing a national marine sanctuary is at the top of the list. Should of just left him and gone after the car right away.

Why couldn't this person just jump in, and save the taxpayers all this expense. I bet that crane operator will get burned too for all his time and effort. I wonder what meds they were on.

Witnesses said it appeared intentional...does not mean that it was. The man was belligerent...could be from a head injury. Don't be so quick to judge. I hope the Junior Lifeguards were not allowed in the water where there was likely fuel spillage, radiator fluid...although I have to say I have encountered NASTY stuff in the water there when it wasn't the scene of an accident.

Wait. What St. Joseph Monastery are you talking about? West Cliff Drive in Santa Cruz is not near any monastery. I live off of West Cliff in Santa Cruz! |
|
I thought about doing this before. If I do I'll use an eclectic car.

Are you volunteering to pay all of his fees? Sounds like it. I'm up for that, save the taxpayers some money, since obviously you feel for the guy, do your part. It would be nice to have more out there like you. Just think of how rich this county would be if someone like "TREEHUGGER" foot the bill for all of the morons running around destroying our city. Way to go!!!!!!!!! |

He may have been upset with his Chevy pickup for using too much gas.

|
He must mean Shrine of St. Joseph, the seminary/chapel by Steamers |
|

What a waste of money. Get the truck out of the water so we can save a few fish from the engine fluids and let the guy stay in the water.

Coonerty's salary eats more of my tax dollars than this ordeal. I am curious as to what his motive was. Just being a joker? On drugs? Suicide? Asleep at the wheel?

This is totally a government conspiracy. It's the FBI blaming this guy for driving off the pier, when they're really covering up the fact that they're experimenting on humans. I'll bet next the FBI will blame animal rights activists for this "accident".
