What a surprise, another Trojan football player beating the system. I wonder if he'll have to run laps after practice.

You go B. Moore, do all you can do and reach for the stars, the sky is the limit. Big love from Carson Colts.

The decision was a non-brainer.
He could either
1- Go to a public and higher academic level school but with a iffy footbal program and try to pass all the hard classes or...
2- Go to a private and lowe academic requirement and awsome football with a lot of exposure and much less demanding class requirements...
You choose... I am pretty sure he is not planning to get a master degree...

Let's go SC!!! The Powerhouse continues to grow. Bruins just face it, we dominate Southern Cal. I'm glad Byron opened his eyes and made the CORRECT decision. Thanks to the Moore family for raising such a smart young man. TROJANS!!!!!!!!!!

Who did Notre Dame beat last year in football? The discussion is FOOTBALL! UCLA wishes they had our coach, but hey you guys have Neuheisel, we'll see how he's at ucla. Who was choosen first in the NBA Draft? Go ahead "bad" any other basketball comments you would like to share?

Byron is most likely too stupid to get admitted into UCLA, so he is changing his commitment to usc where he wont have to attend class and get paid also.

BTW this from ESPN: Wait ... did Kevin McHale just make a good trade? I'm pretty sure he did, when he traded Antoine Walker, Marko Jaric, Greg Buckner and the rights to No. 3 pick O.J. Mayo to Memphis for Mike Miller, Brian Cardinal, Jason Collins and the rights to No. 5 pick Kevin Love. When we break it down, it's hard to see how Minnesota loses: Love is the better of the two prospects. This is clearly not the consensus opinion; if it was, the Grizzlies wouldn't have thrown so much extra into this trade to get Mayo. But Love's numbers project him as a much better NBA player. And big guys have traditionally been more valued than guards in the NBA; hence the adage, "Don't trade big for small." Love is a better fit in Minnesota than Mayo. The Wolves already have plenty of 6-foot-4 wing players (Randy Foye, Rashad McCants) and a shortage up front, where Love's ability to shoot and pass will keep the lane open for Al Jefferson to dominate. Obviously the Jefferson-Love combo raises some concerns at the defensive end, since neither is especially tall or moves well laterally, but offensively they could be devastating.

The kid just needs to do what's best for him. UCLA will miss out on a talented recruit but there's no need to call the kid stupid or insult him in other ways. UCLA will still get their share of solid recruits and will only get better with the current staff of coaches they have.

Actually I think the kid is quite smart:
Go to $C, take easy classes at LA Tech Trade School, if not caught he can even get paid while at SC, then play for $C for couple years, go to NFL and get rich. Very smart kid...
Remember: the end sometimes does not justify the means.

It's all moot point, he didn't choose to go to a SEC school, the toughest NCAA football played in the country, and I'm a die hard USC fan (UCLA pronounced uck-la forgot how to play football years ago). He should've picked real football program.

I don't blame the kid. If you have a choice of playing college football at USC or UCLA there's no question you pick USC.

Do you really think this kid is thinking about getting the best college education he can get just in case his football career doesn't fly? I am sure he just wants to play football and get some easy classes at LA Trade Tech (USC's satellite school) and hope to land a multi-million contract later on.

I can't wait for the books to come out about the John Wooden era. However, they won't be out until he passes. It will show the true hypocrisy of the lowly bRuins. bob from rb wrote: <quoted text> I am not jeaulos, only stating a fact. This is just another case-in-point, of my theory. USC is nothing short of a haven for thugs, year after year their players get arrested for various charges such as: rape, assault and battery, soliciting sex from prostitutes, possesion of drugs with intent to sell, and they get away with it each time! even murder! And my list doesn't even include all the alleged NCAA violations, surely if your a thug with talent USC and Pete Carroll has been sending a message loud and clear 'come play for us, where you can continue your habits and we will provide a safe haven.
