It's a shame that ignorance isn't a crime because any FOOL that excludes any race for any reason is IGNORANT and should be locked up and thrown in a cage with the rest of the animals in a zoo! When trveling to a foreign country most people check out that countries traditions, beliefs and culture and respect them all (otherwise, don't go) Same as when foreigners come to our country. We expect them to abide by our laws and rules or they shouldn't come. So what's the bid deal. I think eveyone knows that RED China is a communist country with beliefs, laws and culture much different from ours. It is not up to Americans to determine how another country should or should not act. If you don't like the ways of a country...don't go there!

Really? What about invading countries we don't like because of their laws, rules, traditions, beliefs and culture? It is not up to America how another country should act? Has it ever occured to you that maybe they shouldn't be hosting INTERNATIONAL events then. Its been no secret for decades that olympic atheletes will come from all over the world in every color. They knew Blacks would be coming years ago when they started planning. Why wait til 1 mos. ahead to pull this whoever is doing it? Then maybe someone else would have been able to host them. I can't believe george Bush is not raising hell over the Iraqi team being excluded either. This whole thing smells of politics and multinationals(for not speaking out) to me.

Ok, I think that Jiang's post was both grammatically inadequate, and pretty poorly backed up. The fact that in this day and age, one uptight country thinks that it can discriminate against others sickens me. Personally, Im an English White bloke, so surely, if I had any common sense I'd go out and kill some black guys....WRONG!

The more developed countries, who stopped eating animals and started domesticating them (such as the UK and USA), teach tolerance! I am a very tolerant person, and think that for someone, a country none the less, to openly discriminate against let alone olympic athletes whom are competing in their country, but an entire race, is just sickening and shows why your country has got such a hard earned reputation on being brutal pillagers and megalomaniacs!

Personally, I think that China is a very cool, cultured place, but this article has changed my thoughts entirely....

Maybe we should search Jiang's apartement....make sure he's not carrying any pirated DVD's or smuggling in unwanted babies.....surely....that would be social justice?

Even if the Chinese feel they have justification to do this, it really is a low act to exclude a group of athletes at a global event. Poor guys, what a slap in the face. With all the other issues, it seems like having the Olympics in China was a bad move all around. =P

AGREE, I am so happy to do the I TOLD YOU SO DANCE even with my hubby. Yes, this is not a fake story. It is also true for media. In a memo my husband got for his studio who is going there more for the social issues, as I told him I want that mission aborted, do not want his employees there, what are folks thinking? I lived there for two years, it was the most frightening two years of my life. The rules and lack of legal council, did you know that every network has retained and put on retainer every NY and LA law firm in Beiging and Shanghai. Like Jones and Day, White and Day, ect. You think are media is safe? You think are athletes are safe. Folks need to grow up and realize CHINA never should have been awarded the OLYMPCS, look what they just did to IRAQ. Wait until you see athletes not allowed in due to VISA complications, that is my next prediction. Everthing I said was going to happen, has happened.

i dont trust them i think its going to be a bigger problem for all the different cultures
