Right on, Dawg. After both Boston games, I have mentioned either Barkley or the national media and their perspective that this is not LeBron's fault - it is the scheme, the coach, the other players. It amazes me how many people are jealous of LeBron and when things don't go well for him, or the Cavs, seize the moment to take pot shots at him.

Okay before all of you blame lebron lets look at the facts and I hate to say but charles barkley said it best,Mike Brown is the Problem. His stragety lebron left right and up the middle facing 5 on defence now I dont care if you are the greatest player to ever play the results would be the same. Now the biggest blame goes to danny ferry for surronding Lebron with a bunch of mis fits and the owner for allowing it.end results cavs lose the series one more year of lebron and hes gone and we will return to normal a losing franchise.

How can anyone say Lebron is the best player in the NBA. Have you ever seen Kobe struggle this badly to score? Kobe's teammates the last couple of years have been way worse than Lebrons, and he still has no problem scoring 40 points, even with the entire team focusing on him.

Watch the last time your KOBE played in the nba finals and ask yourself if he can struggle this badly...

When Detroit switched to the tilt D in game 3....
After Kobe went off in game 2.....

Kobe shot 32% from the Field...

Game 3
Kobe 4-13 11 pts.

Game 4
Kobe 8-25 20 pts.

Game 5
Kobe 7-21 24 pts.

The Tilt D is almost impossible to score against...
Just ask Kobe...

What LBJ needs is what Kobe had in his 3 title runs, and has now.... Players around him that can stretch the floor...

Also.... Stop on the Kobe crap... He has the best coach of all time (phil Jackson)... Playing in the Best O system of all time (the Triangle)....

LBJ has Mike Fing Brown... Playing in the worst O system of all time...

<quoted text> So what's wrong with a demand to be paid more than Gooden? It was plainly obvious that Gooden was going to be moved, and Varejao would get the starter's minutes. In light of these facts, within the context of contract negotiations, it's totally irrelevant whether he has the skills of Karl Malone or the skills of Karl Rove. You're the guy who brought up the $ thing, not me.
Except when we traded for Gooden we got Ben Wallace, and AV is getting starters minutes. He isn't a starter, he needs to develop either better defensive skills (other than taking charges) or some offensive skills. An "energy" guy like him is not a starter.

You people just refuse to accept the truth. Lebron is not missing shots because of the Celtics defense. Lebron has no skills. Out of all the "superstars" left in the playoffs, he's the worst by far. He's been in the league for five years and can't hit layups consistently. HE CAN"T HIT LAYUPS! He has no midrange or post game. He can't shoot from the line or perimeter. His best move is travelling to the cup for a dunk. Lebron during this series just like in last years NBA finals is being exposed for what is he is, an over exposed and yes an overrated fraud.

The season long LeBron & 4 others style of play has come to roost for the Cavs. LeBron is shooting poorly because of the Celtics excellent defense which causes 3 players to come to LeBron whenever he goes for the basket, and his outside shooting is non-existant in this series, and no one except Z has stepped up their offensive game to help. It's not looking good. I am now downgrading my prediction to Celtics in 5 games unless another "Miracle in Richfield" happens at the Q in the next 2 games with two Cavs wins.

Here is an interesting note regarding comparisons between Lebron and MJ...the Bulls playoff history with MJ is as follows..1st, 2nd and 3rd yrs...out in first round...fourth yr out in 2nd round...5th and sixth yrs they went out in the conference finals ('89 and '90)...seventh year NBA Champs in '91. The difference? Chicago fired their coach and brought in Phil Jackson during the time the Bulls went to the conf. finals. Food for thought.

Cavalier Traveler, do you really believe that the Cavs can win two at home? Atlanta was able to play Boston tough because they are a good team. Despite their record. The Hawks could run with and at times out run the Celtics. Cleveland can't do that. The Cavs do not have the athletes. Joe Johnson is not quite the athlete Lebron is, but he's a much better shooter. Johnson actually has skills that Lebron hasn't even begun to develope.
And the thing about the Cavs that's really crazy is that they won't be any good next year. Gund/Gilbert and Paxson/Ferry have wasted a prime opportunity to build a franchise by not developing a great talent and surrounding that player with utter garbage. lebron is the only player left in the post season who's competing with players that can't create their own shots.
So no CavTrav, the Cavs won't be taking all three in Cleveland. They won't even take one. Boston, in an attempt to prove that they can win on the road will run the crapaliers out of Quicken loans arena.
again, the idiot who has no idea what he's talking about. Actually, that's not completely true. I think you watch whatever team it is you like - the Celtics, perhaps - and maybe some Chuck, Kenny, & Ernie or Screamin A Smith or whatever, and then you think you're Dr. Jack Ramsey or something. It's like watching Fox News exclusively for infomation on the Democratic primary. Let me clue you in - claiming Lebron has made now development in his game or has no jumpshot or can't make layups exposes you as lacking credibility. He's had two lousy games against a sweltering Boston defense, but he hit midrange shots all year from every angle, with people all over him. He's one of the great shooters in the NBA, but he has made himself well above average, which compliments his ability to finish and his athleticism, which are unparalleled. It's why he lead the league in scoring.

You'll all be happy when Lebron is a Knick. You don't think they're clearing cap room and getting ready to be more horrible so they can get a high lottery pick and also sign Lebron?
All this kid from Akron has done is drag the whole dead ##@#@ Cleveland sports world with him the last 5 years and the mature fans of Cleveland bitch at him because of his hats.
The Cavs have given him great stars to work with, like I can't breathe Wallace, Wally world, Ricky Davis, I don't like it here Hughes and on and on. In 5 years not one guy that can help him? Never had a point guard! Never had one guy the other team was the least worried about!
When he's a Knick I'll be rooting for him. I hope they can get him ONE, that's ONE player that can help him. I said ONE!!!
Think before you type. Why would Lebron leave a team because they aren't winning a title to play fo a lottery team?

If you look at that Atlanta series the Celtics had to go through Cleveland will tie this series up dont worry folks. It seems Boston has yet to prove they can win on the road and apparently not even in ATL they could scrap out 1 win. What makes you think if the C's cant get 1 win out of the Hawks on the road they will against the Cavs.

One thing I don't understand: how does a guy like Verajao become a star in Brazil, a country that loves basketball, make the NBA, and look so dorky and awkward when he handles the ball, drives to the basket, or 90% of the time when he shoots? Most of us learn and get better at our jobs as go along, and he has nothing to do but PLAY BASKETBALL. He makes millions for PLAYING BASKETBALL. During the off-season he can work out and concentrate on sharpening his skills to PLAY BASKETBALL.
So, enlighten me: why can't he PLAY BASKETBALL?
I thinking he's pressing and that it's extremely important for a coach to keep him under tight control. Varejao has a lot of skills - but jumpshooting and ball handling are not among them. If you ever get a chance, watch the Team USA vs Brazil game from the World Chamionships a couple years ago. Anderson almost single handledly beat team USA. Brazil used him as a high post center, and he picked them apart with interior passing and pick and roll plays. He is an excellent rebounder and a good all around defender. The problem is that he plays outside of current skill set and gets out of control, which creates bad shots and turnovers. It's up to the coach to reign him in, bench him, or put up with it. Mike Brown seems content to put up with it, which is one his weaknesses as a coach - he goes with the more defensive minded player over almost anything else.

Yes YoYo (Ice Cube's ex-girlfriend?) I have seen Kobe struggle to score this much. It used to happen all the time, because Kobe was a shoot-first ballhog. And Kobe has never faced "the best defense the NBA has seen in 10 years"

In the Lebron era, the Cavs have shown that they can win on the road, but not when they open the 1st 2 games on the road. We are now 0-8 in these games. In the previous 3 situations, we lost in 7 to Detroit 2 years ago, won in 6 vs Detroit last year and lost in 4 to San Antonio in the Finals. In the 2nd round this year, all 4 teams who opened on the road were winless at 0-8 and are at a big disadvantage. However, 3 of the teams came back in game 3 to win and are now down 2-1, so hopefully the Cavs can continue the trend tomorrow. Home court is so important, that's why the regular season matters. With all of the injuries, holdouts and the big trade, there was no way we were going to get one of the top 2 spots this year. Hopefully, after a good training camp where the new guys can continue to play together, next year will be different and we'll finish higher in the standings. I'm not completely counting us out yet - if we make our outside shots at a reasonably decent %, we can win these 2 at home and even this thing up. If not, we'll go down in 4 or 5.

I assume you are joking right? LeBron AVERAGED 30 points a game this year. And that was with key players injured for multiple games and 4 new players coming in the trade?

Kobe put up 30+ shots last night. It is easy to score 30 or 40 when you throw up that many shots!!

Kobe had injuries on his team as well, and a major trade that took place, and he did it playing a brutal Western Conference schedule night in and night out. He played through an injury that many players would have sat out with. Honestly, both Kobe and Lebron are the 2 greatest players in the game today. To ridicule either is dumb.
