Check the Giant Eagle (GE) ad for specials--mainly milk. If milk less than 2.75/gal, get it there, otherwise get it at Circle K, where it's 5.50/2 gal. Shop at Marc's. If they don't have something, get that at GE. Buy $50 gas cards at Marc's and save 0.10/gal at Speedway

Good one!
Also not having money is a good way of not spending it. HA

Unfortunately we'll all be getting fat eventually.
Taco Bell is much cheaper than turning on the oven and buying tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, shells , the meat and flavoring.
The same goes for just about everything except maybe soup. On that note,I'm going out to Texas Roadhouse for steak tonight. Screw having soup.

At least once a week, we have breakfast for dinner. Cuts down on old meat & potatoes meal. Plus you can do alot with with old edible egg. you have othwr options also, like, waffles, french toast & pancakes. It always seems less expensive to make breakfast.

How about electing officials that give a dam what's happening to the American family!!!

Maybe, instead of giving big tax breaks to corporations and rich pricks, they could take care of the middle class.

Affordable health care, a sane energy policy, etc..
BUT NO, the idiots are more worried about gay marriages or abortions.

If the republicans win again you all deserve what happens to this country.

Shop at ALDI--get used to using non-name brands. They are just as good and there is a double money back guarantee if you aren't satisfied. We had four kids at home and began shopping at ALDI when we had to travel to the only one in the area (in Kent). Their low prices were--and are--a real blessing when feeding a large family. They continue to save us up to 50% over regular grocery stores.

If the republicans win again then I'm moving to Canada. After 8 years, this country has fallen apart.

To prevent me from using my credit card for impulse purchases, I freeze it in a block of ice. Then I still have the card for emergencies, but it isn't easily accessible.

I have a menu planned for 31 days. I shop for only the groceries I need to make those meals. You don't overbuy and end up with extra stuff in your cupboards for months. It also relieves the stress of "what am I going to make for dinner tonight?" You can take a recipe out and put a different one in it's place to make a little variety. Also, if you are planning to buy pizza or go out for dinner, buy Giant Eagle gift cards and save money of gas. We just filled up for $1.00 a gallon because of the gift cards we bought to do our Christmas shopping. Good luck!

Saving money happens by buying things when they are marked down. As no one has time to keep track of the many sales - our kitty has been using Unodeals.com to save money. Best of all the service is absolutely free.

I make a wide circle, one day, for all of the dry goods and meats. Marc's has the best prices on items that are canned and packaged. Two for one at Acme.
Fresh is mostly picked up that day, such as the fruit.

However, salad etc I can pick up on the way home. And I don't wander the store when I go for the greens...just in, get what I NEED and then out again.
This keeps the budget in focus

My love is strong enough to cancel out your hate. Wanna make me (a cheap) dinner some night?

Buy those cheapo sawdust floor-scrap little cigars instead of the 42.95 carton of 'Boros.

Buy your meat and chicken in bulk, and seperate into smaller portions. It is a lot cheeper in the long run. Also when you make speghetti sauce or soup, make in larger batches and freeze in quart freezer bags. It dosen't take any longer to make and then you have it ready when you need it or when unexpected company comes over.

When bone in chicken breast are on sale, buy extra, debone them yourself and freeze the bones and skin in a freezer bag to make homemade chicken soup or stock. Then you can portion out the chicken either as boneless chicken breast or cut into strips for fast cassaroles or dinner. You can save up to $2.00 a pound or more doing this, rather than buying boneless chicken breast, and it only takes a few extra minutes.
