Who the heck is Brett Frave ? Romo has played cupcakes with a combined 5-15 record and their 1 loss came to the only team they've faced with a winning record, and that happened in Dallas against a divisional rival. Tony Romo isn't even the best QB in his division. I would take Brees, Delhomme, Eli, McNabb, Warner, Hasselbeck, and Bulger on that team over Romo. What you don't understand is alot of mediocre QB's would do just as good if not better than Romo with that team. Any of the guys I named would make way less mistakes, that team bails him out to much. Put him with any other team and he'll look like Grossman.

"I would take Brees, Delhomme, Eli, McNabb, Warner, Hasselbeck, and Bulger on that team over Romo"

Then you're just not very smart.

"Any of the guys I named would make way less mistakes, that team bails him out to much."

I would argue that he bails the rest of the team out as much or more. That protection breaks down more often than the OL's "sacks allowed" stats indicate. He escapes and makes big plays.
Gurode snaps the ball over Romo's head and 30 yards into the backfield? No problem...Romo will pick it up, make two guys miss, break two tacles, and run for a first down. Gurode does it again two weeks later, you say? No problem...Romo will chase it down again and hit Patrick Crayton for a thrid down conversion and keep the chains moving in a tight game. Those kinds of mistakes by his teammates would kill drives with any other QB under center.
You have no idea what you're talking about.

"Put him with any other team and he'll look like Grossman."

And that might be the dumbest thing you've said in this entire discussion.

Just because you want something to be true doesn't make it so.

A couple of pages back, you told me to compare Brees' stats to Romo's after the MNF game...

Well...

Brees 9 TD 6 INT 5 FUM 97.7 QB rating

Romo 11 TD 5 INT 3 FUM 100.5 QB rating

Whadaya know?

The best QB in the NFC is Tomy Romo. Period.

the link above provides my ORIGINAL thoughts on brees over the past two years.

it just so happens that cowboys75 and i share similar feelings toward the overrated brees.

and for the record, go back and reread my commentsp- i ranked rivers above brees... and, players can be ranked high but still be overrated.

Well, Cowboys go to 4-2 after the loss on the road in OT.

But Romo? 320 yards 3 TD 0 INT...

At least my Longhorns beat Oklahoma and LSU/Missouri both lost. The weekend wasn't a total loss.

To cowboysfansince75: I don't know what's worst ,Romo and his miscues, that punter ,or that big ass band-aid on Kurt Warners chin. Dude, it's not Romo's accuracy, it's not his decision making, it's all those miscues and fumbles that cost them in that (TRAP GAME) and will cost them down the stretch, especially with the stretch coming up for Dallas. No way he's number 3 with all those miscues and no QB I named fumbles and blunders like Romo. Drew Brees is a flat out assasin and as of right now he is definitely #1 and Romo and those Cowboys "STILL" have not beat a team with a WINNING RECORD!!(NUFF SAID!!!)

Romo is friggin bloopers and practical jokes with all his fumbles and dropped snaps and fumbled feild goal snaps and his dummy smile reminds me of REX GROSSMAN, Brett Favre dropped 50+ on that very same Arizona defense with the JETS receivers. hey cowboysfansince75, according to you ya'll will only lose 2 more games ,and if you beleive that you're as retarded as Romo looks tryin to recover one of his silly ass fumbles. Drew Brees 26 of 30 320 yards 3 TDs and "NO FUMBLES"

dont need a perfect season to win the bcs championship incase u didnt notice we won last year with 2 losses... losing to florida means nuthing we still got georgia alabama ole miss arkansas.... so then we will prolly end up playing florida in the sec championship in death valley and winng and going to play the bcs championship.... and WHO THE FUCK have the long horns beat besides oklahoma anyway?.......umm noooooo body yall still got to prove ur self... cuz yall havent played shit yet yall got miss, osu, texas tech AND KANSAS who i think would whoop the longhorns. good luck with that.. i kno LSU has proven worthy of actually being in the top 3 but no one is perfect we had a bad game and beat ourselves.... id be surprised if longhorns win next week...

brees also had 320 3td but at least he didnt have 3 fumbles Lol..... at least when brees makes turnover about 90% of the time they arent his fault.

grats tho to colt mccoy! great performance under the circumstances that happend to his life with his bro =( its sad when a marine dies

Tony Romo didn't lose that game. The special teams did. If not for the kickoff return TD allowed, a missed field goal before the end of the half, and a blocked punt return for a TD in overtime, this game isn't even close.

Special teams gave up 13 points and left 3 on the field.

Romo had 321 yards and 3 TD, despite being hit more often in that game than he had all season before that.

Romo 14 TD 5 INT

Brees 12 TD 6 INT

Now that Romo is out for probably the next 3 games without a broken bone on his throwing hand, you'll see how valuable he is to this team.

It was obvious on his last two throws that something was wrong (and that shuld have been a roughing penalty on the first play in OT).

Injuries happen, and Brad Johnson will have to go 2-1 over the next 3 games. That's all there is to it. Romo could make it back for the Giants game, but will most likely return after the bye (at Washington).

At least you won't have to worry about Romo leaving your boy Brees in the dust statistically...

As for LSU, you don't have a QB. I followed Lee out of Brenham. He'll be okay, but he is just a redshirt freshman and it won't be this year.

Chase Daniels (out of Southlake Carroll) is the best QB in college football, and Texas will have its hands full with him this weekend. We're not overlooking that Missouri team with him at the helm. Just like the game against Oklahoma, it will be a good one, and not likely to be the last meeting between the two teams this year. I expect to see them in the Big 12 Championship.

My wife graduated from LSU, so we follow them too. But the fact is, their loss helped Texas. That's all. It may not please my wife, but it's just fine with me.

Don't take it so personally.

Since Romo is done for a few weeks, there isn't much left right now of this thread, IMO.

I'll leave you all with this thought. Since October 6, 2006 (Romo's first start), here is how he is ranked...

#2 in pass yards (behind Brady)
#3 in winning pct.(behind Brady and Mannng)
#1 in avg. yards per completion
#2 in passer rating (behind Brady)
#3 in completion pct.(behind Brady and Rivers)
#2 in TD passes (behind Brady)

Brees is behind Romo on all of those lists.

Nothing you can say will change that. Those are facts. The rest is subjective bullsh!t. Anyone who thinks he isn't a great player is an idiot. Period.

Fortunately, the facts speak much louder than you do, Mookie. Your "opinions" can't overcome them.

Romo is the best QB in the NFC. Period.

One more thing, Mookie. Romo has only fumbled the ball one more time this season than Brees...So much for that argument.

Stick with the facts.

I notice you didn't point out Romo's fumble that the Cards recovered on the Cowboy 20 that they weren't allowed to keep. Or the Jenkins pass interference in the first quarter that if could would have extended a Cardinal drive or the hold in the backfield on that long Barber touchdown in the 4th quarter. But you do point out the uncalled roughing, typical. Either way, with Romo out for 3 to 4 weeks you can "turn out the lights, the parties over".

To cowboysfansince75: With or without Romo this team is a bunch of overrated glitterboys that was media overhyped since the preseason. The cowboys have lost 2 out of their last 3 games and they have yet to beat a team with a winning record which I never hear you comment about, and that's not my "opinion", But what really makes you look like a friggin mutt is you won't admit when this guy fouls up in crucial situations as though he has no flaws in his game. 320 yards 3TD and Brees and that offense drops 34 on a better secondary than Romo and the Cowboys faced in Arizona with simular numbers ,a secondary Favre hung 50+ on with the Jets receivers. The difference was the Romo fumble on the cowboys side of the feild, Brees leads the league in yards and was 89 percent (26 of 30 320 yds 3TDs) against The Raiders,300+ yards 5 of last 6 games. I watched ESPN First take, they all agreed Romo was a horrible QB for the talent on that team ,I think I agree with the experts and not you dude, and all of the experts on ESPN agree that Brees is the hottest QB in the league right now, I agree

mookie the douche,
first off, 26/30 does not equal 89%. it's called 4th grade mathematics.

second, are you kidding me with your argument that romo doesn't screw up when it matters??? i'm not saying tony doesn't but... BREES IS THE KING OF CHOKING WHEN IT MATTERS. i suffered through brees doing it in SD for four years and i now enjoy seeing his overrated ass do it now.

finally, you said the espn experts (yeah right) all agreed "Romo was a horrible QB for the talent on that team" THAT IS BULLSHIT. they did not say that... stop spreading your nonsense.

One fact I know, Dallas has not beat a team with a winning record with Romo as their leader yet this season ,please comment on that ? Now Tony Wobo has hurt his wittle pinky winky, awhhhhh poor bastard.
