Unbeknownst to most of Chicago is that Daley has distain for the greater majority of its residents and employees.
If people could hear what he says behind closed doors. |

Mr. Kass, The next time the Superintendent of Police crows about his "successful initiatives" bringing down the murder rate, can you PLEASE publicly ask him HOW MANY AGGRAVATED BATTERIES WITH A FIREARM ARE THERE THIS YEAR COMPARED TO LAST YEAR??????
I can tell you, IT'S UP 35%!!!!! The CPD is lying to the public ( or at least ommitting the truth) |
||||
Ahem...Does curtailing crime include not hiring police officers and refusing to give them a contract? Does fixing the roads mean under the table deals which ensure the problem will recurr? Does upgrading tansit include laying off thousands of CTA workers? I want some of your KoolAid. |

Sounds like the citizenry is starting to wake up. Can anyone save us from the lil'tyrant on 5?

The link underneath "Second City" in the web edition of this article is wrong. Kass mentioned the "Second City Cop" blog.
The link to the "Second City Cop" blog is: http://secondcitycop.blogspot.com/ (Instead somebody inserted a link to Second City the comedy organization.) |

CHALKIE!!!!

John Kass, you are what Chicago needs more of. Anyone that can get the blood pressure of Shortshanks up when he gets caught with his hand in the cookie jar is OK by me. Keep up the good work.
|

The city got 1.8 BILLION for the Skyway, 1.1 BILLION for the Parking Meters, has 1 BILLION in T.I.F. money, and got to keep 150 MILLION for the failed sale of Midway Airport. Plus the city is budgeted for 600 more police officers than they actually have on the payroll. That money goes back into the General Revenue Fund at the end of the Fiscal Budget Year. That is close to 4.2 BILLION DOLLARS in reserves! If King Mayor Shortshanks can not account for every penny of that money he is the biggest theft every to hold office in Illinois! The city only has to move the money from one column to the next. It is being held in reserve for his Olympic nightmare! |

Hey Hoffman,
If Richie is trying to nail you, why not have Kass ask Richie the U.S. Marine, one question. "Richie, what was the number of your bootcamp platoon, where and on what date did you graduate. Also, provide a picture of your Marine Corps bootcamp platoon". Quess what. This little puke never went through bootcamp. Name me one flippin Marine who did not go through boot camp. Interesting, isn't it? I mean, he does list "USMC" on his resume. That should cause such an uproar of ridicule against this little goofball that he'll spend the rest of his term with an iced towel wrapped around his head. And Hoffman can do his job without the snipping from the 5th floor of City Hall. Just sayin. |

Isn't it some kinda kinky crime to put a beer can up a chicken's rear end?
You better hope PETA doesn't protest you! |
||||
__________ Please don't lump the Ex-Fed that Daley was forced to hire along with all of the clout heavy brass that Daley put in leadership positions in with the CPD. Find any officer wearing a blue shirt and they will tell you that agg batts with firearms are skyrocketing. Ah, if only the doctors weren't so good at their trade we'd have a lot fewer people on welfare. |
||||
|
Go Chalkie!!! The real reformer in Chicago.
|
||||
|
Hope Hoffman is smart enough to keep copies of all his records in a safe place that Mayor Mudpuddle and his flunkies can't get to. And I'll take a large Chalkie in every color available.

Great column John Kass. I really like your style of reporting and a number of us know the feeling. You do attract some interesting bloggers. I have heard of beer chicken but I did not know that one had to empty part of the can. As a survivor, the Calkie
t-shirt nightshirt sounds interesting. |
||||

FREE CHALKY!! Last time I heard,legitimate parody of even trademarked items was protected speech.
|

Down here in the sticks, it's called beer butt chicken. |

obviously, King Daley II is insane.
THE EMPEROR HAS NO CLOTHES! To Wit: --bulldozes municipal airport in the middle of the night --rapes taxpayers of $500 million annually thru his TIF programs, then raises taxes nine times in twenty years --sells off city assets at a loss while rewarding family members & friends --uses the race card to defend his wife's friend's Children's Museum in Grant Park --gives $100 million minority contracts to his pink friends --guarantees $BILLION$ of OUR money for HIS olympics Politicians are like diapers: they should be changed frequently, and for the same reason! Time to vote the bums out, and get some new bums. NO MORE DALEYS NO MORE STROGERS NO MORE MADIGANS NO MORE KENNEDYS NO MORE CULLERTON NO MORE QUINN NO MORE BURRIS NO MORE DURBIN NO MORE TAX-AND-SPEND DUMB-O-CRATS!!! |
||||
Okay... Krause can leave the building! Hey, John, it's not local but how about that contract the Feds let this past week to "redesign" the website praising "The One's" economic stimulus package?$18,000,000.00 to REDESIGN a website? CNN reports the contractor who got the contract has NEVER been involved in website design but the subcontractor that THEY hired as had "some involvement in web design" in the past. Could this be the marvel of Chicago/Illinois politics, the no bid professional services contract, coming to the surface in "The One's" admin? Payback a political friend with oodles of public money and let them hire somebody for, maybe, a couple hundred thou' to actually do the work. |

Thank God For David Hoffman. Let the Mayor replace him. Im sure his old boss by the Name of Patrick Fitzgerald would let those subpeonas fly at city hall. Keep up the good work sir. You do have a fan club amongst us city workers.
