What i don't really understand is how big of a disadvantage is it for Hester to run extra yards to grab a squib compared with catching a straight on kick? I have seen plenty of those off-line kicks returned in the NFL for long gains. If it was such a great strategy why doesn't every NFL kicker kickoff like this, everytime? If it was my team, i would kick it straight out of bounds and take my chance with Orton et al, at least until I had a lead.

The morning before the first Sunday of football and you are talking about the glory days of how the Bears got killed a couple years back in the SuperBowl. Man, it's gonna be a long, painful year for Bears fans.
