Dale Jr.: "Give my dad a little more credit''

One of the many debates this week _ and even before Kyle Busch and Dale Jr. got together at Richmond _ is how Kyle is the next Dale Earnhardt.

Junior says that Busch is only like Dale Sr. on the track but Sr is still above him, but we all knew that before he even said it.

"Personality wise they're polar opposites. Give me a break. You know my dad better than that. Give my dad a little more credit. They didn't know him.''

KB is an aggressive driver. DE was an aggressive driver.
The difference is where DE was subtle KB is blatant.
DE would take the air off, or " rattle his cage a bit". KB just turns right.
I've seen many races where DE had bumped a competitor out of his way. There were times it back fired and took him out in the process.
I seriously doubt KB will ever match or come close to matching DE's or RP's records. I really don't like JG but if it's going to happen I believe he is the one to accomplish it. Three more championships and he's matched them. He's already surpassed DE in wins.

I like Kyle, and yes the kid reminds me of Earnhardt's early years. And like Earnhardt he will only get better as he settles down and matures. Will he be the next Earnhardt? No, there was only one Dale Earnhardt and that's a pair of shoes that will never be filled.

I think people who think Kyle is like Dale personality wise have missed the boat. Kyle has a racing style similar to that of Dale, but I have to agree, Tony's probably got more of Dale's personality than Kyle does.

But then again, Kyle is a kid and as he gets older hopefully he'll get smarter about hiding the arrogance a little better. It's ok to think you're better than everyone else, you just need to keep it to yourself. Apparently no one taught him that lesson.

I don't wanna make enemies here but Kyle Bush at this point in his career is JUST LIKE EARNHARDT SR. was in his first five years in the sport.

Who the heck liked Dale Sr. when he was spinning Petty, Waltrip, and other established stars in NASCAR?

Not me.

Dale Sr. was an aquired taste. I never thought I would ever see someone as hated as Darrell Waltrip was when he came up, and then "Ironhead" came on the scene. Just like Waltrip, and Earnhardt before him, Busch is winning races at a phenominal rate and making drivers and fans hate him in the process.

And NASCAR is becoming more popular because of it.

NASCAR works best when it has a bad guy. The guy you love to hate, the guy who people pay to see lose. Kyle Busch is that guy. A driver so good that drivers hate to see him in their rearview, and fans suddenly look up and boo because he's about to pass their favorite driver.

Twenty years ago that was Dale Sr.

Like it or not, history is repeating itself. Dale Jr. is the guy in the white hat, and Kyle Busch is Liberty Valance. The only thing that's missing is the moustache.

At least Sr. Had that!

The drivers will never respect Busch. He is to cocky.
He make his brags I will wreck anyone for a win.
Well watch his actions when it happens to him.
He showed his colors with Steven Wallace and Steven did not wreck him. He got him a big suprise poking his nose in Stevens car. I don't think he should be compared with Dale E. it just make's his head swell. He would be great if he just had some respect and would stop running his mouth.

At least Dale Sr knew how to keep his mouth shut and not get into trouble spewing crap. Shrubby had a problem with Steve Wallace and that should have been it, but he had to keep blowing his hot air and said things like he'll wreck anyone. Even though you may think that, you have to keep it to yourself and shut the hell up. Sometime, he's going to tangle with the wrong driver and he's going to have his head shoved up his butt.

So, let's a take a few wagers. Who's going to be the first one to take Shrubby out? I have the feeling that Rusty is going to give Steve a few pointers and it'll be Steve who'll give Shrubby a taste of his own medicine, and I'll be happy when that happens. What goes around, comes around.

You're forgetting he said what he said when he was angry. Have you ever said something stupid when you were angry? I have and I'm sure you have too. So you can hold it against him. Now, at least he can back up his arrogance, no one may appreciate his attitude but the kid can drive. If he couldn't drive then I'd get why people think he'll never be respected. But then again I bet way back when, people thought Tony would never be respected either and now he is one of the most respected drivers in NASCAR. Time will tell, but trust me you're talking about two kids having a fight. Steven is what, 19, Kyle 23, what the hell do you expect from them?

Does that make Steven or Rusty any better than Kyle then? If they have to "take" him out because they can't compete with him otherwise? I love how a fight between KIDS has become a basis for hating a driver. Revenge is a stupid tactic and immature. The mature thing to do is move on and be the best you can be. But it seems some people around here thing revenge is cool.

There has been many a young driver taken to the side in the garage area by a respected veteran of the sport. When someone like Mark, or Jeff Burton decides Shrub has gone too far a talk will happen.
It will not happen just because Jr's fans are not happy.

I don't think anyone should wreck anyone on purpose but Kyle said he would so if it gets wrecked so be it! I also think hating anyone including a driver is wrong, lol. How does one hate people they don't know personally? Drivers are different on the track then off the track. Kyle is young and has a huge head but he's also young so I understand that to a point. That doesn't excuse his actions though.

Yes I have said
stupid things in anger but I was not on National TV being seen and heard around the world. He still had no business with his nose in Stevens face.I will only give him respect if he earns it. Yes Tony has earned his,,,,,
